On Friday February *, ****, I used your services to book a car for a pickup in Bay City, Michigan.* I selected the rate that Priceline offered at the top and Priceline would choose the car company.* Nowhere in the initial screen did Priceline tell me that the car was nonrefundable.* The option right below my choice selected says in bright orange "Pay Now and Save."* (See Exhibit * attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.) Comparing the two, I thought the car I was booking would be refundable.*****Furthermore, directly under the total for the charges, there is a check mark next to the best price guarantee.* (See Exhibit * attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.)***Immediately after I received confirmation from Priceline with an Avis rental, I went and double checked to see what a Hertz rental would be and it was $***.** less than the Avis Rental.**Even though your website said best price guarantee.* Within ** minutes after booking the mystery Avis rental, I rebooked through Priceline with Hertz.***When I went to look for the cancel button for the Avis rental, to my surprise, I was unable to find it.* After a call with your customer service, I was told I could not cancel this reservation.* Under no circumstances would I have booked a car with Priceline not knowing I could not cancel it.* I am booking a vehicle for travel for a federal trial. Our firm does not know what is going to happen in the coming weeks with another threatened Government shutdown. I absolutely would not have scheduled a nonrefundable car because there is no guarantee that our trial will move forward.***I had my office manager Brittnay Mossburg, call as well.* She had an even worse experience with your customer service.* They outright lied to her and told her the cancellation policy was that of Avis and not of Priceline.* She also asked for an employee ID number.**The employee, Monique, told her they did not have employee ID numbers but when she spoke with the supervisor, Gee, she was informed that Gee's employee ID number was *******.**What kind of deceptive business are you running?* Please cancel Priceline Trip No.***-***-***-** and refund my AMEX card.* I have contacted AMEX and informed them of the situation too.
