Rent a car ... I had Priceline car reservation ***-***-***-**, which I picked up on December **. Upon pickup, the car agency told me I must take their insurance, which was $**.***day. I have my own insurance and had no intention of taking the rental company's insurance. I did not see any notification about this when I was booking via Priceline or in my confirmation after booking, however the car rental agency (Europcar*Discount) said it was their policy and they refused to give me a car unless I took their insurance. At that time I was stuck, as I was **** miles from home, had booked the car a month ahead of time, it was *:** at night and I had to drive * hours away, so I had no other options. If this requirement to purchase insurance had been revealed to me when I was booking, I would not have chosen to rent this car and would instead have rented from a different company, since this ended up costing me almost $*** more than expected. Following my trip, I "chatted" with a Priceline rep (Kinn), who told me I should have been allowed to decline the insurance and that I would need to contact Europcar (the rental company) directly. I emailed the specifics to them and received the following response - "Be advised that as per Discount terms and conditions, only Canadian coverages are accepted. Please note that your reservation was done through a third party company, so you need to contact them directly as they should be aware of the terms and conditions."*I should be entitled to a full refund of this insurance charge. * Please help.*Thank you.

I've "chatted" with Priceline, who told me to deal directly with the rental car company. When I went to the rental car company, they said I should deal with Priceline, who should have known the terms and conditions of the rental car company. Grrrrrr.
