On August **th I went onto the priceline website to book a deal that was advertised for $***. ** for august **th and check out Aug **th at the crowne plaza in Ventura .ca. I clicked the booking link it had me add in all my c.c information and submit my reservation . It popped up at this time with the words "ooops" something went wrong your reservation was not made . I went out of priceline and went back in. I rebooked the room at same price still advertised and put my c.c info in and submitted again. Only to receive the same msg . **I checked my bank statement and there were * pending charges for around ***.** .**I called customer service only to be told we are sorry it looks like someone booked the room before you so it was no longer available. *Why would it allow me to book it * times taking my c.c info both times. If room was already unavailable **In addition * hrs later that same advertised price that customer service said it no longer available is still listed on your sight. I have time and proof of this. If I was to go in again it would allow me to put in all my information and put another hold on my funds for a room that is not available. This is false advertisement. Customer service had no explanation and offered no assistance at all. **I went back to your web page and went to the advertised deal for a standard room at the crowne plaza in Ventura .ca. and used the option to call instead. Again he said I see that price as listed and showing available but it is not really available. He again apologized . I said don't you think you should contact someone to take that down . He did not answer and could not explain. **I am baffled at the fact that you can advertise a price book it, take the c.c info and hold funds for upto ** hrs and then tell them you are sorry but room is not available and then have the same room and price listed for hours after . **I use priceline all the time to book and have never had this issue . If your system would have promptly replied when I pushed book this room with room not available I would have completely understood. But that is not what happened here. **If you need proof that this advertisement remained on priceline for the standard room at $*** for hours after and also confirmation it took me thru the full booking process several times . I will gladly send this to you.
