You can also dispute a charge through the app. Once logged in, look up your ride under Your Trips, select the ride that you wish to dispute, then click "I would like a refund" and then select the reason for the refund request.

Two issues, as a new Lyft rider:*Today, Feb ** ****, only my *nd time using Lyft, I needed a ride within a particular time window. I tried to set this up ** min in advance, but that part of their app didn't work. So I went to their "immediate" booking option and found a ride available in about ** - ** min, barely enough time for me to get ready, but I could do it, so I booked that one. The Lyft app then told me the driver would be here in * min! Not enough time! So I called the driver, explained. He told me to cancel the ride. So I did. Surprise! I got hit with a $* cancellation fee. VERY UNFAIR. (Once I was ready to go, I tried to book again and had a good ride, but the previous cancellation was due to the Lyft app's inaccurate time info and their "schedule-ahead- of-time feature not working. NOT. MY. FAULT. Really a turn-off.**A FEW WEEKS AGO, FOR MY FIRST Lyft RIDE: As a brand new customer, Lyft gave me a promo code to use to get **% off of my first * rides, how Great! I figured their app would ask me to enter their promo code as part of their booking sequence. But no, I went through the booking sequence and there was no question nor a data field in which to enter the promo code. I needed the ride so I submitted the booking, presuming that the driver would enter my code. Not true. I was charged full fare AND denied permission to try that "new user" promo code on subsequent rides once a computer-programmer friend of mine finally found the deeply hidden Promo section buried within their app menu a few days later. Felt cheated by this deceptive design of their app. **After today's *nd experience of being cheated by Lyft's app, I feel . . . Burned and ripped off.
