To Whom It May Concern:**I received a Groupon notice that a discount was available for carpet cleaning services performed by Quick-Kleen in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, owned by a man named Ray Wojcik. I planned to purchase that Groupon and, using the phone number provided in the Details section of the Groupon email, I phoned Quick-Kleen to ask some questions about their service. The scheduler, a woman named Jeannette told me that it was not necessary for me to use a Groupon, since they could schedule the cleaning service with me directly and offer me a discount. This seemed questionable at the time, but since I had only used a Groupon once before, I took Jeannette’s advice and scheduled the cleaning service directly with her.**On September **, ****, a Quick-Kleen crew came to my home and cleaned my carpets. In the process, they blew out two wall sockets, located side-by-side, in my kitchen. I reported the damage to Jeannette, who refused to give me the name or phone number of a manager. Later that day a man from the Quick-Kleen office your office returned my call, denying responsibility for the damage to the wall sockets, which his crew has used to operate their steam cleaning machine. He refused my request to send a person to survey the damage done to my home. **In trying to contact Quick-Kleen, I discovered that:**.*The company does not advertise a physical address, only a post office box.**.*There is no way to contact the management or owner of the company (the scheduler denied my request for a name of a manager).**.*The company is not registered with or certified by the Better Business Bureau.**.*There are numerous complaints about this company on the Internet.**I recently filed a complaint against this company with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection, Office of the Attorney General, and a separate complaint with the magistrate of my township. **It is evident that Quick-Kleen is a shady company that uses disreputable business practices. Since I have used a Groupon in the past, and since friends and relatives of mine regularly use Groupon, I am writing to notify you of the questionable business practices of Quick-Kleeen Home Services. Since I did not use a Groupon for this company’s service, but since I became aware of the company through an e-mail from Groupon, I feel that you should be aware of the way that this company operates. **Sincerely,**Dr. Nick J.
