On December *th **** I went to Best Buy with the intention of purchasing an LG OLED TV. Specifically the "C*" model. I was quickly approached by a Best Buy associate and a representative from Sony who suggested I look at the Sony A*G. I asked a lot of very specific questions and unfortunately was convinced to buy the Sony. The most important factors in my decision were whether or not the TV supported eARC and how fast its processing was. I very specifically asked these questions and was told that the A*G had a faster processor and supported eARC. Shame on me I never looked into it further, that is until I started having performance issues with the TV, namely slow processing and buffering. So I decided to look up some specifications online. Not only does the TV not support eARC but benchmark testing shows processing speeds almost ***% slower across the board, all resolutions and all inputs.*I am * months out, way beyond their return window but I was blatently misinformed and I believe Best Buy should exchange this TV. It's not like I was only talking to a clueless employee, but I was talking to a Sony representative, and as such I consider this theft by false pretenses - they obtained my money under fraudulent representation.
GetHuman-crabsoda did not yet indicate what Best Buy should do to make this right.
