Nothing! ... I got an email welcoming me to Amazon Prime--but I never joined! And Amazon has already charged my credit card! I want the membership cancelled, the fee refunded. And I don't want this sneaky thing to happen again!
Amazon made me waste time navigating their opaque contact system to avoid this charge I never initiated.
I just wanted an explanation as to why they just decided to charge me. In the past, they've offered me a free month trial of Prime, and I've tried it once or twice over the years, but not this time. I suspect they thought I might not notice, and just pay.
I've been a long time customer.
It is fixed. When a rep finally called me back, she was very nice about reversing the charge but had no explanation for how it happened, and no apology for my wasted time.
