In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this Ring Doorbells phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.
We don't know of any phone menus you would encounter when calling either.

What are the hours and when should I call?

Ring Doorbells operates the call center for this 800-656-1918 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Tuesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 2,646 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Ring Doorbells phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Ring Doorbells staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call Ring Doorbells is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Friday, which averages 91% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 2,646 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The best time to call
In summation, the best day to call Ring Doorbells is Tuesday. It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Ring Doorbells staffs up on Tuesday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

My Experience Calling Ring Doorbells at this Number

Aug 8, 2023

I had an issue updating my Ring Doorbell subscription, so I went online first to see if I could chat with someone. I was a bit shocked that such a modern brand would not offer a live chat option, but with no other choice, I picked up the phone to give them a call.

It was the evening before I had time to deal with the problem, so I called them pretty late, which might have helped me get through quicker. Despite this, the recording told me they have a higher-than-usual call volume, so I might have to wait for a while.

The first menu offered me a way to reset my password and told me to stay on the line for all other inquiries. I got a bit excited because I thought I might get to talk to a person, but a few minutes later, I was listening to another directory. There were five choices that included things such as troubleshooting the Ring, alarm sensors, and questions about billings, but none of them were things that I needed.

I decided to stay on the line, but that didn't help because then I got five more options related to alarm systems and had nothing to do with what I needed. It seemed that the directory map was now headed in a different direction. I ignored the options again and stayed on the line. Now it wanted me to verify my identity, which quickly turned into a problem because I wasn't skilled enough to quickly do what they wanted. I was told I could only verify my identity by using my Ring app or website.

The recording didn't offer much explanation, so I just stayed on the line again and magically, this time, I was connected to a salesperson. When I looked at the phone counter, it took 4 minutes of listening to directories to get to an actual person.

The customer service agent that helped me was clearly outsourced and had a thick accent, but I was able to sort out my problem. She talked through my subscription options and helped explain that if I downgraded my current subscription, I would not receive the same recording bonuses I currently had.

While she was able to help me, I would have still preferred a live chat agent because it would have been easier to understand. Still, in terms of customer service, the experience was okay. I got done with the call within ten minutes and did get the answers I needed. My one word of advice to anyone reading this would be to call later in the night when the lines aren't so busy.
