To receive notifications when someone is at the door, ensure that your Ring Doorbell is set up correctly in the Ring app. Open the app, go to the device settings of your Doorbell, and enable motion alerts and doorbell press alerts. Customize the notification preferences to suit your needs, including choosing how you want to be notified, whether through push notifications, chimes, or other alert options. Make sure your phone settings allow notifications from the Ring app as well.

If your Ring Doorbell is not alerting you when someone drops off a package, check the motion settings in your app. Ensure that motion alerts are enabled and that the motion detection sensitivity is set appropriately. Sometimes, adjusting the placement of your doorbell or modifying the motion zones can help in detecting packages better. Additionally, make sure that your Wi-Fi connection is strong and that your doorbell has the latest updates installed.

1 - To set up your Ring Doorbell to notify you with a sound or chime, open the Ring app, select your doorbell device, and go to Device Settings. From there, choose 'Alert Settings' and enable 'App Alerts'. If your Ring Doorbell is not sending notifications to your phone when motion is detected, check the following: Ensure that push notifications are enabled in the Ring app settings. Verify that your phone's notifications settings allow the Ring app to send alerts. Confirm your Doorbell's motion settings in the app, ensuring motion alerts are turned on. Make sure your phone is connected to the internet and that the app is updated to the latest version. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, try reinstalling the app or restarting your phone.

To set up your Ring Doorbell to a new Wi-Fi network, open the Ring app on your smartphone. Tap the menu in the upper left corner, select "Devices," and choose your Ring Doorbell. Tap "Device Health" and then "Reconnect to Wi-Fi." Follow the prompts to enter your new Wi-Fi credentials. Make sure your doorbell is near your router during this process for a strong connection.
