Report your lost bag by submitting a claim online. To get started, you'll need your confirmation number and last name. Click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions on the next page. After reporting the lost luggage, United will provide you with a file reference number. You may use this number to check the status of your claim.
After reporting your lost luggage, you can also expect updates at 2, 5, 15, and 30 days. If United Airlines finds the lost bag, you will get instructions in the email on how to get it back. Note that you will need to shoulder the shipping fee for your lost bags.
