What You Need to Know About Gift Cards
First, REI offers both e-gift cards and physical cards in many designs. You can order one and have it will be delivered within seven days for free. REI does offer expedited shipping for an extra charge, or you can purchase an e-gift card instead which will be sent within a few hours, or you can opt to schedule electronic delivery for a future date.
Also, REI gift cards don't expire or have fees. There's also no tax on their purchase, but keep in mind that tax can be applied when you redeem the gift card.
Gift cards also cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. You can cash out your gift card if the balance is less than $10. You're also not able to use gift cards on prior purchases or exchanges. Purchases of return labels, tickets, and gift cards are also prohibited. Gift cards are not redeemable on REI's Corporate Group Sales business channel.
Purchases of gift cards are ineligible for the REI Co-op Member Reward. REI classes or day trips, or rentals cannot be purchased with gift cards on REI.com, you'd need to visit a store in to make such a transaction. Redeem your gift card for REI adventure travel on the official website or by phone.
