Netflix is one of the leading online streaming services available in the United Kingdom. The company provides a monthly subscription streaming service that charges you every month. The charge is usually effected on the exact date that you subscribed.

Typically, Netflix will only charge you once, but some customers have registered complaints of multiple Netflix charges appearing on their cards. If you see multiple monthly charges or suspicious charges that you believe are authorized from Netflix, then follow these steps to dispute the case:

You Have Multiple Netflix Accounts

If you notice multiple charges from Netflix, then it means that either you or someone with access to your account may have created multiple accounts. This scenario can easily come up if you are using multiple email addresses or you pay for Netflix through your mo0bile carrier or cable. Here is how you can check for and cancel any duplicate Netflix accounts:

  1. Go to Netflix.com/LoginHelp and enter any email addresses that you own to determine whether they are linked to your Netflix account. Make sure that you enter only one email at a time and click on the "Email Me" option every time.
  2. If you see an "Email Sent" notification, be sure to sign in to that specific email and follow the steps outlined in the password reset email
  3. Sign in to that Netflix account with your new password and proceed to cancel the account
  4. Once you are done with the first email address, repeat these steps with all the other email addresses that you own.

If you follow these steps and you cannot find any duplicate accounts, or you are billed through your mobile or cable carrier, contact customer service team so that they can investigate the matter further.

Keep in mind that there are many ways to pay for your Netflix subscription. Therefore, make sure that you inform the customer support team where you see multiple charges.

I see Charges on a Card I Did Not Provide to Netflix

If you have not6iced Netflix charges on a new card that is not added to your account, your bank may have automatically updated your information as a courtesy. Many financial institutions do this to ensure that all accounts using recurring payments such as Netflix charges remain secure whenever a new card is issued.

In some other cases, your bank may allow recurring payments to continue on your expired card. If you have any genuine concerns about any of these processes, make sure that you contact your financial institution as soon as possible. They will be in an excellent position to explain the situation to you.

You May Be Seeing an Authorization

Whenever you sign up for the Netflix free trial or change your default payment method, Netflix usually verifies your payment information by submitting a one-time authorization for the same amount as the cost of the monthly Netflix membership.

However, you need to keep in mind that Netflix won't collect the money, and the authorization will automatically drop off your account after some time. Confirm with your bank to know when you can expect the funds to be released back to your account.

You See Charges Even After Canceling Your Netflix Account

If you still see a charge even after canceling your account, then it means that you or someone else may have accidentally reactivated it. You can check whether your account is still canceled by trying to sign in to Netflix.com.

If you log into your account successfully, make sure that you change your password to prevent someone else from accessing it and proceed to complete your cancellation. This should solve the problem.
