Google Nest Customer FAQ

To change your password for your Google Nest camera, open the Google Home app or Nest app on your phone. Go to the account settings, then select "Manage your Google Account." From there, navigate to the "Security" tab and choose "Password." Follow the prompts to create a new password. Once updated, use the new password to log in to your camera.

To disable Eco mode on your 3rd generation Nest thermostat, go to the thermostat and select the “Ecobee” option on the display. From there, you can choose to turn off Eco mode. Additionally, you can adjust settings in the Nest app under the “Home” section and then access “Settings” to make the necessary changes. Remember to confirm your selections to ensure Eco mode is disabled.

Ensure your Nest camera is within range of your new Verizon router. Power cycle both the camera and the router. In the Google Home app, select "Add" and then "Set up device" to reconnect the camera. Follow the prompts, ensuring you select the 5G network if your camera supports it. If issues persist, reset the camera by holding the reset button until the light flashes orange, then try reconnecting.

To connect your existing Nest camera to your upgraded Verizon wireless router and 5G internet, follow these steps: 1. Ensure your cam is powered on. 2. Open the Google Home app or Nest app on your smartphone. 3. Select your camera and go to settings. 4. Choose "Wi-Fi" and then select "Forget this network." 5. Restart your camera by disconnecting and reconnecting its power. 6. Follow the prompts to connect the camera to your new Wi-Fi network by entering your Wi-Fi password. Once done, your Nest camera should be successfully connected to your upgraded router and 5G internet.

To fix a misreading temperature on your Google Nest thermostat, first check if the thermostat is placed away from heat sources, drafts, or direct sunlight, as these can affect readings. Ensure that the thermostat's sensors are clean and not obstructed. You can also try recalibrating it by going into the settings and selecting "Temperature Calibration." If the issue persists, restart your thermostat. If needed, consider checking for software updates or resetting the thermostat to its factory settings.
