The Nest thermostat is not ideal for retirees who spend a lot of time at home. At times when we are not close to the device, it can act on its own and make the house uncomfortable. For example, even though the setting is at 76 degrees, it can let the temperature rise to 80 degrees if it thinks it's saving energy. This situation happens frequently, even during the night. The current outside temperature is 84 degrees. I am considering buying a new thermostat that doesn't prioritize energy-saving over comfort when I am stationary. As a result, we are in the process of looking for a different thermostat as a replacement for the Nest we purchased around 5 years ago.

I am experiencing issues with my Google Nest floodlight camera. After contacting customer service, they advised me to send it back for a replacement. I followed their instructions, sent the camera back, but have yet to receive a replacement. Upon investigation, I discovered they mistakenly sent it to an address I never provided. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation, they are now suggesting I contact the neighbor or property owner at the incorrect address to retrieve the camera, which I find unprofessional. I have been met with rudeness and no resolution from them. This process has been frustrating, especially coming from a reputable company like Google.

After the recent update, my Google Nest wireless outdoor camera has exhibited a noticeable change. Since the weekend, the color quality in the live video feed appears different. Daytime footage is overly bright and washed out, lacking color. Even with the auto night vision feature on, the quality has significantly deteriorated. The nighttime video is too dark and washed out, making it difficult to see clearly. As a resident in a less safe area, having operational night vision is crucial. Many others on the Google community platform are experiencing similar issues. It is disheartening to pay for security and receive poor video quality in return. I implore the developers to revert to the original version, as the new update is incredibly disappointing. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Nadia (tink)

Our Google Nest thermostat was malfunctioning. Two HVAC companies visited and confirmed it was a faulty thermostat. Despite contacting Google customer service for a refund, they only offered to replace the thermostat. I returned the old one in early May using their provided label, but I have not received the replacement yet. Seeking a full refund for our Nest purchase.

I purchased a Nest Learning Thermostat in late October [redacted] to replace a Honeywell thermostat installed by the heating company alongside a new furnace and central air. Since my home is seasonal, we did not use the new furnace during the winter. In May, the Nest ran for 9 days before we left for our main residence. When we returned in June, the thermostat unexpectedly raised the setting to 85 degrees despite being set at 71. We had to revert it back but then noticed the heat and cooling were both running simultaneously. We have a Nest at our primary residence and love it, which is why we got one for our seasonal home, but unfortunately, this one seems faulty. The serial number for this is 09AA01AF362207PE. We decided to reinstall the Honeywell thermostat for now. I want to return the Nest due to its unpredictable behavior while we are away for extended periods. The thermostat is within the 2-year warranty, and I seek a refund for the purchase price. I attempted to contact customer service but one of the numbers provided was invalid.

On August 29, our condo was engulfed in flames around 10:30-11:00 pm, while my wife and I were asleep. We barely escaped with our lives as everything was lost in the fire, including my Nest camera. I have reached out to Nest via email twice but have not received any response. Recently, there was a $[redacted] charge on our Mastercard that needs correction as we have not been living there since the fire. I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.
Regarding the issue, firstly, I request the removal of the $[redacted] charge from my Mastercard. Secondly, it would be beneficial to have a live person addressing customer concerns instead of automated responses. Thirdly, customers should not have to pay extra just to speak with a real person. The frustration of trying to contact someone all day has left me hesitant to purchase more Nest products for security at our new residence. In the future, I may explore alternatives like Wal Mart or Harbor Freight due to the subpar customer service experience with Nest.

Our Nest thermostat with the serial number #09A01AC[redacted]2 continues to show as OFFLINE consistently. Despite numerous attempts to troubleshoot, the issue persists. Unfortunately, managing this has been challenging due to my daughter's critical health condition necessitating frequent hospital visits in the last six months. Last night, enduring uncomfortable heat in the bedroom without the functioning thermostat was particularly difficult. The other four Nest thermostats in our system operate without issues. This specific thermostat has been problematic for approximately six months, possibly since purchase. Your assistance in resolving this longstanding problem would be greatly appreciated.

Our air conditioning system is constantly running, even though we've adjusted the temperature setting well above the current temperature. Both my husband and I use the Nest apps with auto-scheduling and home/away features, ensuring our schedules fall within the correct temperature ranges (72-77). Despite turning off the A/C on the Nest all night, it has been running continuously, maintaining an inside temperature of 64-65 degrees. Given that we live in Texas in July, this is concerning. It appears there may be a communication issue between our Nest thermostat and the A/C unit.

I tried to reach out on Monday via the online form but did not receive a call back. I hope to get some assistance this time around. Last Christmas, I received Nest Cameras as a gift from my Daughter and Son-in-law. They have the receipts indicating the purchase was made on 12/26/22. Recently, we noticed that our front yard camera, with SN: 29231J3D526DPE and Set-up code 1PMGEF, displayed a "low battery" notification. After recharging and remounting it, within a few hours it stopped working again. We conducted troubleshooting and also tried swapping it with another camera, but encountered the same issue. It seems that the mounting bracket could be causing the problem; given that it has only been 7 1/2 months since the purchase, the warranty should still be valid. I would appreciate a call to guide me on the next steps.

My Nest Thermostat suddenly shut down, displaying error code T195 before going blank. Despite being hard wired, I am puzzled by the error as there should not be any power issues. This situation is concerning for me as I rely on the air and heat due to breathing problems. The troubleshooting guide mentioned that both functions might be disabled. I urgently need assistance with restoring the functionality of my thermostat. Thank you.
