Ways to Buy A Macy's Gift Card

There are two ways to purchase a Macy's gift card: in person and online.

In Person Purchase

If you live or work near a Macy's brick-and-mortar location, you can purchase a gift card at any register in store. Pick up a gift card at any kiosk in the store and take it to the nearest open register or customer service desk. Inform the clerk the amount of money you wish to add to the card. The clerk will add the amount and activate the card once payment has processed at the register.

Online Purchase

Online purchasing is quick and convenient, and you can choose between an electronic gift card or a classic (plastic) one. To complete the online purchase, follow the steps listed here:

  1. Open Macy's website on your computer, phone or tablet.
  2. Click "Gifts" from the menu options at the top of the page.
  3. Select "E-Gift Cards" or Gift Cards By Mail" to start your online purchase.
  4. For e-gift cards and cards by mail, select the card design.
  5. Choose card value.
  6. For e-cards, make sure you add the recipient's email address at this step.
  7. Add a message (optional).
  8. Select "Add to Bag."
  9. Preview shopping bag and click "Checkout."
  10. Log into your account or continue as guest.
  11. Add shipping address.
  12. Choose shipping option.
  13. Enter payment details (card number, expiration and security code).
  14. Add your contact information (name, address, email and phone number).
  15. After a final review, select "Place Order."

E-cards will be delivered almost immediately to you or the recipient if the card is a gift once payment has processed. Classic cards will arrive based on the shipping method chosen at checkout.
