If you are a host and are missing your payout from Airbnb, keep reading for some helpful tips to assist you.
Airbnb is an online platform that organizes lodging or homestays, and tourism experiences for travelers and hosts. As a traveler, you can book a stay in someone's property for a price that is often cheaper than the local hotels. As a host, you can rent out a room or your entire property for guests to stay in. For hosts, this is a great source of secondary income.
If you are a host and are missing your payout from Airbnb, keep reading on what your next steps should be.
Airbnb typically releases the host payment 24 hours after the guests' check-in time. However, the time it takes for the funds to actually appear in your account will depend on your banking institution. PayPal typically takes one business day while banks can take anywhere from three to seven business days.
If your guests are staying for 28 days or longer, you will receive monthly payments.
The first step when you think you are missing a host payout on Airbnb is to check the status of your payout.
Go to www.airbnb.com
If you are not already signed into your account, you will need to sign in now. In the top right corner of the screen, click on 'Log In.'
Sign in to your account with your email address and password. Alternatively, you can sign in with your Facebook account or Google account.
Go to your transaction history at https://www.airbnb.com/users/transaction_history
Once your payment has been processed, that reservation will have a line item that states 'Payout.' If you don't see this line yet, then your reservation payment has yet to be processed.
Note that if you have a minimum payout set on your account, your payout won't be released until that amount is met.
If you have multiple reservations with check-ins on the same day, the payout will be one large sum.
Note that weekends and holidays will delay your payment as banks don't process transactions on weekends or holidays. Wait a couple of business days until after the weekend or holiday for the payment to appear.
If you are still experiencing problems with your payout, you can try reaching out to the Airbnb Help Desk. This is where common questions and concerns are answered, so someone may be able to shed light onto your situation.
If you have not been able to address the issue or find a reason for your missing payment, it's best to contact Airbnb as quickly as possible. There can be issues with your banking information making it difficult for Airbnb to pay you out.
You can contact the Airbnb Customer Support Team via phone. The team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The average wait time is 18 minutes.
If you prefer not to talk on the phone, you can reach out to the Airbnb Customer Support team via live chat. The live chat team is available every day from 4:00 pm to midnight EST and the average wait time for a response is six minutes.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like AirBnB in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What Do I Do If I'm Missing My Host Payout on AirBnB? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
