When I connected, I asked how long before a stay I would have to avoid cancellation charges if I needed to cancel a future trip. He said that once I was booked, I would be able to cancel up to 48 hours before my trip at most hotels, with some offering a 72-hour window before I would be charged. That applied unless I had prepaid my reservation, as once I had paid in advance, I could no longer cancel and avoid charges. I thanked him for confirming the information and hung up.
Overall, I thought this was a helpful and informative call. I got the information I wanted and was easily able to navigate through the automated system. There was no wait time and the system didn't have any issues picking up what I was saying.
