I've been attempting to access my TextNow account and keep encountering an error message stating, "This account has violated our terms of use, and the account and number are no longer available." Despite having the account for over a year, I'm certain I haven't breached any terms of use. I've attempted to reset my password but with no success. I noticed on the support page about re-enabling accounts as a "one-time exception," but I can't post there as it requires me to log in. I've carefully reviewed the terms of service and have not violated any rules. I kindly request the re-activation of my account. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your assistance. TextNow should reconsider accusing customers of violating terms of service, as many depend on the service for communication. Rather than abruptly disabling accounts, a warning message could be sent out to notify users potentially breaching guidelines. This proactive approach would allow users to rectify any unintentional violations before being locked out of their accounts.

Hello! I'm having an issue with the TextNow app on Windows 10. When I receive a call or text, a notification pops up for five seconds and then vanishes without being saved in the Action Center. Consequently, if I miss the notification sound, I won't realize I received a text unless I check the app myself. Is there a way to keep TextNow notifications in the Action Center for a longer duration than five seconds? I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you!

My phone, which had the TextNow app and number, was stolen, and it was connected to my new phone with all my personal information. I haven't used the TextNow app in over 30 days, but someone is still answering calls on that number. I deleted the account when this started happening, so I don't have an account to deactivate the number. However, someone is using my old phone number to access my bank and Google Fiber accounts. I urgently need assistance on how to deactivate the TextNow number on the phone I no longer have an account for. Due to this situation, I no longer have access to my email, so please contact me at [redacted] or text me at the same number provided. I'm really in need of help.

The original email I used was hacked, leading me to lose access to my TextNow number [redacted] associated with [redacted] I've since recovered my email and updated it to [redacted] Unfortunately, my current email has also been compromised. I'm working with Apple to resolve this issue. My TextNow number is essential, as it's the only trusted number on the account. I'm unable to receive the recovery text as the only way to reset my password for TextNow is through the email on file.

Last night, my wife and I were targeted in a blackmail scam, leading us to make payments through Paypal and Venmo under duress. The Seattle Police Department has been involved, and a report has been filed with case number #19-[redacted]. The scammer operated under the names Emily Moorton and Charles Tynes. They threatened to distribute intimate photos of us to our contacts. We initially sent $[redacted] to [redacted] via Paypal, then an additional $[redacted] to @charlestyes21 on Venmo. The scammer's Skype ID is live:.cid.a5826F8B9B5D94E2, and their TextFree app number is ([redacted])-[redacted]. The Paypal transaction ID is 3KH78316MG[redacted]. Venmo is cooperating with the police, reversing the transaction, and sharing information about the scammer. Any assistance in capturing this individual is appreciated, and we are willing to provide evidence to aid in the investigation. Thank you for your support.

Last night I used a friend's phone to log into my TextNow account, which caused the screen to freeze. Despite trying different buttons, including the X button, nothing worked. Unfortunately, her phone died before I could log out. Later, I set up a four-digit PIN on my account as a security measure. However, after creating the PIN, the screen keeps looping back to the PIN entry, freezing in a continuous cycle. I noticed the padlock icon unlock momentarily after entering the correct PIN, but it relocks, prompting me to re-enter the PIN. I suspect I may have entered the wrong digit when confirming the PIN due to its similarity to another one I use. I have restarted the app multiple times to no avail. I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled it yet for fear of losing messages. Should I create a new account, or do you have any suggestions to resolve this issue? Your assistance is appreciated. My phone got suspended, a text message mentioned a balance issue, but I have no overdue payments. I've been in discussions with a representative named Sean and Marcus all day but no one has been able to fix the problem. I am unable to select any options like adding a payment method. I've taken screenshots of everything I've encountered to show that it's a system error. I am completely locked out of my phone. Please assist me as no one has been successful in resolving the issue so far.

I have been using TextNow for over a year now, but due to changing phones multiple times, I faced issues with my account and service. I believe I might have mistakenly switched to a different company that seemed fake, with odd service and payment problems. After trying to pay for TextNow, the money was deducted from my card, but my services weren't renewed. Since then, I've been using the free service after re-downloading the app following a phone break. Now, I can't access my account on my tablet, and I'm unable to receive the confirmation code they send via text to my TextNow number. I'm stuck and need assistance with retrieving my number and ideally returning to a paid service.

This morning, I encountered an issue where I was repeatedly logged out of the app on my Android device. Upon logging in, I am immediately redirected back to the login page after a brief 2-second period. Additionally, my phone number appears to have been changed to ([redacted])-[redacted] without my consent. Upon briefly being logged in, I noticed a significant amount of important work calls and messages that I need access to. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

I recently had to factory reset my phone, and unfortunately, I lost access to all my emails, passwords, and the TextNow app, which was linked to my recovery phone number. The TextNow number I had was [redacted], and the associated name was [redacted] I am unable to regain access to this email due to not having the password backed up. After my phone was malfunctioning, I decided to reset it. However, upon reinstalling the TextNow app that I have been using since May, I encountered difficulty logging back in. I need help. My Test Now account was hacked by someone I know. I want to delete all my messages and the entire account. If I only delete the account, he will recover it and send messages to people. I am experiencing an issue with some of my contacts not receiving my text messages, although I am able to receive theirs. There is one specific contact with whom I am unable to exchange texts. This problem is particularly inconvenient for me as I am relying solely on text messaging for communication due to a lack of phone service at the moment. I am using the TextNow app, and this problem has been recurring intermittently. I am considering uninstalling and reinstalling the app to address this issue.

I recently discovered an app on my phone that has accessed my contact information and messages. It seems that someone has used it to activate their SIM with my details. I need to speak to a representative over the phone to find a solution to remove my information from their possession. The email address associated with the account is mine, but when I try to change the password, the security pin is sent to a different number that I do not recognize or have ever used. I have only used my current number for a long time, and I am unable to remove the unfamiliar number receiving the security codes.

I have been without service for more than 3 and a half weeks now. Despite emailing you about this problem, I haven't received any response. Strangely, you have cut off my service after already deducting $19.99 from my account on November 27, [redacted]. I did not receive a refund for that month, and it seems you have charged me again. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app numerous times with no luck. Please refund me the total of $39.99 for two full months. I have been a loyal customer for years without any issues, but the lack of communication is disappointing. I may have to switch to Straight Talk if this isn't resolved.

I recently bought a Moto Gen4 from TextNow, but I made an error by selecting San Francisco instead of Seattle where I reside. The minutes I bought for the Moto Gen4 are not showing up on that phone; instead, they seem to have been applied to my LG Stylus 2. TextNow, I have feedback on your voicemail system. It can be frustrating that voicemails are spread across multiple contacts. Having them in one place would be more convenient and align with industry standards. Additionally, the notification bar doesn't display the sender's information, making it difficult to know which contact's voicemail I received. When tapping the notification, it should ideally direct me to the voicemail page, but it doesn't function as expected. Improved functionality in these areas would greatly enhance the user experience.
