I'm hoping to receive a new "reset password" link as the previous one expired since I was asleep when it was sent at 4:58 am. I've already submitted a video verifying my identity and can resend it if needed. I really want my account back as the hacker is posting malicious content. This situation is distressing.

While I was on my Instagram, I received a message from a friend asking for help because their phone was blocked and could not receive messages to unlock it. They asked me to send them my number, which I did in order to assist. After receiving my number, she thanked me and requested that I send her the link I was about to receive. Later, I checked Snapchat and saw in her story a warning not to respond to any Instagram messages supposedly from her, as her account had been hacked. I then realized that the messages I received were not from my friend, but from the person who hacked her account. By the time I tried to access my Instagram account, I was already logged out, preventing me from taking control. I'm concerned this person may send messages to my followers pretending to be me and post stories about me and my loved ones on my old account.
