I would like to report a security concern regarding my Facebook account. I recently received a message stating that my account name was not compliant with the guidelines. I verified that the name used on my account is the one I go by, which is my middle name. However, my profile name was changed to my full legal name, including my middle name. This poses a risk to my security and privacy. The system is not allowing me to change it back for 60 days, which is troubling. I value my privacy and it is concerning that this happened without my consent. I kindly request immediate attention to this matter and a resolution to restore my preferred name on my profile. Thank you for your efforts to assist me. I am not very tech-savvy, so I truly appreciate your help. I recently upgraded from my old iPhone 6 Plus to a new iPhone 8 Plus, as I do not own a computer and conduct all my activities on my phone. On my Facebook account, I used to unlock it by tapping my profile picture and entering a 4-digit code. However, after switching to a new phone, I am now prompted to log in with my username and password, a challenge for me as I have always used the passcode option. Given that my account recovery details were under my ex-wife's information and now updated to mine, I attempted to recover my password multiple times without success. Even after updating my contact details, I never received the code from Facebook to reset my password, despite trying various email accounts and contacting my ex for help. I also tried the "help from friends" option with my daughter's account, but it did not locate the account. I am stuck and would appreciate any guidance to resolve this issue. My name is Peter N. I provided my email as [redacted] The password for my account is Crosswind1823. I uploaded a picture for my profile 5 hours ago. How long does it usually take to review the photo for me to regain access to my account? Update: I created the account solely to view a video of myself from Visalia Anime Comic Con on Sept 1, [redacted]. I did not send or receive friend requests, or join any communities. By checking my Facebook download, I verified that the only website I visited was the Comic Con page. I appealed to Facebook after examining my data. The only reason I can think of for my account being disabled is that the picture I used for my profile was of me in a cosplay outfit, which may have been mistaken for an attempt to impersonate someone else. Could you please clarify what led to my account being disabled?

We are Dominion Prophetic Praise International, a church based in Accra, Ghana. Unfortunately, our Facebook account was disabled unjustly. The threat to my safety persists as long as the post remains online. Despite my efforts, the situation is worsening, and I have even faced threats in person by people who now recognize me due to the false post. The individual who posted this misinformation did not engage with me and has unfairly damaged my reputation. I urgently request the removal of the post to ensure my safety and well-being. The linked post has been circulating even after the photo was removed, causing further distress as it continues to be shared via text messages. This violates my privacy as I did not consent to the distribution of my image, which appears alongside my license plate. I fear for my safety and implore for immediate action to address this harmful situation.

Hello, I am reaching out regarding my father-in-law's Kindle Fire account. He accidentally reset the device, losing all apps, cookies, and saved passwords. He typically writes down his email addresses and passwords, but he no longer has access to his original @bbc.co.uk email address. We believe his account might have been linked to that email or a personal one created by either myself or my husband, but the details are now lost. This mistake has also erased the Facebook app from his device, and he can't recall the login credentials. We are hoping to recover his account as it contains important pictures and memories. I recently got a new phone and am attempting to set up my Facebook on it. Unfortunately, I cannot remember my password and the reset sends a code to an old email I no longer have access to. I've also had trouble accessing my Gmail to retrieve the verification code. This email is [redacted], the one I can currently access. My phone number on file is correct ([redacted]6), but I can't receive the verification code there either. Changing the preferred contact method requires the password, which I am unable to recall. My Facebook account under the name Aman Jain is linked to an old mobile number that I no longer have. I recently changed my password and forgot what it was. Whenever I try to log in using my mobile number, it logs me in automatically, but since I can't remember the new password, I can't access my account. Hello, I recently noticed that someone has changed the password for my account (eve_s1513). I received an email saying my password was changed for an account named eve.schmidt54, which uses my email and a photo of me. I did not create this account, and now when I try to access my old account, it says the username is not in use. The new account contains nothing I posted, only a photo. I discovered my account is still active under a different username, now listed as dorse__y_740__5_. I have reported this multiple times with my other account, but it seems no action has been taken. Someone is impersonating me, clearly violating guidelines, but I have not received adequate assistance from Instagram. Since Instagram is now part of Facebook, I am hoping to find help here. I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I accidentally dropped my old phone, causing it to stop working. I then purchased a new phone and installed the Facebook app. Despite following all the prompts, a new account was created. Previously, I used a Hotmail email address on my old phone, but I couldn't access it after some changes Hotmail made, so I switched to a Gmail account and updated it on Facebook. I also had changed my phone number a few years ago. Even though I had updated all this information on my old phone, I don't understand why I ended up with a new account on the new phone with the updated info. I was unfairly removed from the group "Acadian-Canadian-French Genealogy & History" by Admin Lucie Consentino without a valid reason. I was removed after another member mentioned Jewish DNA, and later I was accused of attacking the admin when she joined "French Heritage DNA." She then restricted my access to all other related sites and refused my requests to rejoin the group. Despite applying for membership twice at Rootsweb as advised, I was still denied access by Lucie, who has not provided a clear explanation for my removal.

We exchanged messages, and she shared information about a program called the IMF and Poverty Alleviation Program, directing me to contact an attorney for details. Upon realizing it was a scam, I unfortunately shared personal information on iMessenger. I am worried that my friend's account may have been compromised.
