A few months back, I had an account with your service but canceled it after hiring a personal assistant. When I tried to re-sign up around two months ago, I might have used my son's old account that he set up using my email while in high school to find a tutor. The email in question is [redacted], and his name is Terrell Smith. I then attempted to sign up using my family email, [redacted], and believe I encountered an issue while inputting my credit card information. I vaguely remember receiving an email from your team regarding this. Recently, I was notified by Apple that I am set to be charged $79.99 for three months soon. However, I have been unable to access the service since my last sign-up attempt. I tried to create accounts using both emails on the same night a couple of months ago. As I have now secured a babysitter and no longer require the service, please assist me in resolving this situation.

As a caretaker currently seeking work, I encountered troubling behavior from a Care.com user named "Codi B." He began with normal questions but quickly turned invasive, asking personal questions and disagreeing harshly with my responses. He even twisted my words and fabricated lies about me. When I tried to address this using Care.com's guidelines, his messages vanished, and his account was deactivated. Despite assuming the matter was resolved, the next day, I discovered a negative review by him, falsely accusing me of waiting for someone to pass away to gain financially. This unwarranted harassment, verbal abuse, and defamation have damaged my hard-earned reputation built over 20+ years of caregiving. I have reached out to Care.com twice without a response and plan to involve local authorities. We recently hired a cleaning lady to help with our NYC apartment. Despite agreeing to our instructions during the interview, she only worked for 4 hours on the second day, mostly doing laundry incorrectly and neglecting to clean as requested. She became argumentative, demanding we provide specific cleaning supplies. When I asked her to leave at 3 pm as agreed, she refused, causing a scene. She then threatened to report us to the department of labor if we didn't pay her $90 for incomplete work. Reluctantly, we paid her to avoid further conflict. I have the Care.com app on my phone, as I don't have a computer. I wonder why the app doesn't function well for everyone. A while ago, I accidentally used someone else's bank card to pay $19 for motor vehicle records on the app. Even though I paid the person back in cash, I didn't select to use that card for future purchases. When I tried to use my card for a $60 criminal background check, I couldn't see any payment screen; it just said the payment was processed. I couldn't even identify which card was charged. I contacted Care.com, but they refused to refund the wrong card, blamed me, and failed to transfer me to a manager as promised. Considering leaving negative reviews on Yelp and influencing my friends to do the same. Someone even mentioned boycotting Care.com. If this matter isn't resolved, I might do the same.

Hello, I am Gabby S. I used to be a caregiver on care.com. Unfortunately, my membership got terminated because I was babysitting with my sister. I was in communication with several families, and I am currently babysitting for five families I met through care.com. I was also in talks with other families, which I cannot continue now due to my account suspension. It's upsetting that my account got suspended for this reason, as every family I worked with appreciated our collaboration. I lost all my reviews and conversations with families. I request to have my reviews transferred to my new "company" account since we are the same individuals as before; it's just that care.com deleted everything. I also hope to retrieve the contacts or job opportunities I was discussing initially. Each family was aware that my sister and I work together without any issues. I tried to register as a "company" as suggested in the email, but the option isn't available. I seek guidance on how to proceed with setting up a company account after my original account was deleted.

I've encountered numerous communication issues with my employer through care.com. There was an instance where my text message was altered before reaching her, resulting in her receiving a completely different message from what I had originally sent. We verified this discrepancy by comparing our texts. Additionally, she has not received several of my messages, while I am receiving her texts without any problem. Despite multiple attempts to call her using different phone numbers, care.com continues to block our communications. The texts we do exchange are fragmented and disorganized, making it challenging to comprehend the conversation. Manipulating the content of my messages is unacceptable and could lead to significant misunderstandings. This unprofessional behavior needs to be addressed promptly.

Hello, I’m Alana Wood. I recently had my account terminated following a complaint. The complaint was made by an 18-year-old student who found me on Facebook and accused me of cyberbullying. In reality, I had simply asked him to leave me alone, blocked him, and subsequently blocked his girlfriend after she harassed me. He then continued to contact my friends and even visited my home, prompting me to involve the police. Despite this, my account with care.com was terminated without discussing the situation with me. I reached out to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department, who advised me to file an identity theft report in my local county. Despite upgrading my account, I faced challenges closing the Orlando account and establishing the new one in Austin. I attempted to contact support numerous times without success. I have noticed that Care.com treats many of us in a similar unfair manner. Some customers, out of spite, report us for trivial matters even after we have reported them for abusive behavior. They seem to have an excess of caregivers and a shortage of customers, leading them to be ruthless in their elimination process without any compassion or consideration. The market is already fiercely competitive, and I believe the only way to ensure our rights are upheld and create change is to unite and file a group lawsuit against Care.com. We need to demand the restoration of our accounts, involve the media, utilize social media, approach television stations, contact the attorney general, and seek justice in court. We must make this public. No one is above accountability, they are aware of their misconduct, they initially approved us and accepted our fees to work, only to abruptly revoke everything from us. This is unjust. Who is willing to stand with me in this fight for our rights? Will we take a stand or continue to allow them to trample on our rights?
