I require a summer job as I will be home from May 10th to August 25th. The babysitting positions I have looked into either start too early or too late, and many of them require a car, which I don’t have, making it unlikely for me to secure a job. Today, I received notice that my profile was removed from care.com. I recently encountered a situation with one of my clients where they accessed my personal Facebook account without permission. They claimed I violated HIPAA, but I never shared any private details. I have evidence of their unauthorized access. I have worked as a caregiver for 5 years with excellent references, and I believe my account removal is unjust. I kindly request that my account be reinstated, as I believe the client's account should be reviewed instead. Thank you for reconsidering this matter.

I attempted to create a new profile using a different email address for job searching as a caregiver and searching for a caregiver for my dad. However, my profile was not approved. I am seeking assistance to have my new profile approved promptly so I can continue to access and apply for caregiver jobs while also looking for a caregiver for my dad.

I recently purchased the "Care.com: Criminal and Motor Vehicle Background Checks" along with my "Care.com: Premium Membership" for $[redacted].00. I thought this was the total cost for both services, but there seems to be confusion on the pricing. After receiving an email granting me access to view the criminal background check of a care provider applicant on the "Care.com" website, I was unable to access the information as promised. When trying to locate it under the "Safety and Verifications" section of the applicant's "Care.com: Profile, I was redirected to a different website prompting me to request the same background check for the same applicant once again.

I'm Cassidy B. and my email for my Care account is [redacted] On April 4th, I attempted to upgrade my Care.com account to Premium but encountered issues. Although I inputted my credit card details and was informed of the upgrade, my account continued to display the basic membership, restricting communication with clients. Verifying through my Apple subscriptions, it confirmed a one-month Premium subscription, yet my account remained unchanged. Upon realizing the subscription wouldn't terminate until May 4th, I canceled it early. Despite being billed for the Premium service on my debit card, my account remained basic. Given the circumstances, a refund is necessary as I never received the upgraded benefits.

Hello, my name is Shelby T. I have been a Care.com user for over 5 years. I have had positive experiences working with families and have strong references to demonstrate my work ethic as a nanny/babysitter. Unfortunately, my account was suspended due to a discrepancy in a background check from an interview last year. The issue that caused the suspension is not reflective of my current clean background check. I believe it is unjust that I am unable to access my account and continue finding work through Care.com. I am Silvia Polanco. I am a bit confused about how your pages work. Can any family post comments about babysitters/nannies, and how can we protect ourselves from rude families? I have applied to different families seeking a full-time nanny position. Just recently, a family named Ali W, whom I had applied to ten days ago, contacted me last Saturday. Initially, I told her I was busy during the week due to prior commitments but could meet on the weekend. She agreed but later bombarded me with texts, showing impoliteness. She was inflexible with meeting times, citing various reasons for her unavailability. I woke up to a negative comment in my profile this morning, possibly from Ali. I am disheartened that someone who doesn't know me personally can tarnish my reputation with a false statement. Why did you delete half of my star rating based on her comment without verifying the accuracy? How can we be protected from families like Ali who might misuse the platform? Your assistance in this matter is appreciated.

I have been charged for nearly two years for a service I canceled multiple times. Despite my account being inactive, the charges keep appearing on my card without my knowledge. I tried to contact customer service via email and phone with no success. I am frustrated with the difficulty in unsubscribing and want a refund for the unauthorized charges. This has happened to me before and I refuse to continue being part of the system. I do not wish to give any more money to this company.

1. Last week, I attempted to undergo a criminal background check on care.com, but unfortunately, the process did not go through successfully. Upon contacting care.com, they informed me that the issue was on their end, not mine.
2. Recently, I met with a family who expressed immediate interest in hiring me. However, when they conducted a background check, it failed to process. To further investigate, I personally paid $59 for another attempt and encountered the same error. Despite trying three times, I was incorrectly charged twice. The concern now is the impact on my potential new job. I am unsure if they will proceed with my hiring. Care.com suggested contacting the Social Security office or considering a possible name change discrepancy.
3. Approximately a year ago, my former employer successfully conducted a criminal background check on care.com without any complications. The current situation is causing me a great deal of stress, especially during the Easter Weekend, as losing this job is now my main worry.
4. Would it be advisable for me to escalate this issue to the FCC by filing a complaint?

I was removed from Care.com as a childcare provider because I used my maiden name on a background check. I've been separated from my husband for six years, and as I'm about to move to a new city, although the papers are still being processed, I believed I was being transparent by using my true name. I recently changed my first name on the profile to Loly, which is what everyone, including my family, calls me. In the early years at Care, my signatures to clients were all as "aka Miss Loly," and I wanted to present myself more professionally without that tag on my signatures. My concern is losing years of great reviews that showcase my abilities as a childcare provider and my track record, putting me in the top 6% of caregivers in Harrisburg, PA. I am willing to update my profile with my full legal name now as required. I hope to rectify this situation as I value the work I have done with Care.com over the past six years and the credibility it brings for my future in a new location where I lack a history. I am disappointed I was not consulted before being removed and want to continue being an outstanding example of what Care.com represents.

As a snowbird, I've attempted several times to update my address to CT without success. It used to be simple in the past. However, since I've become a paying member, I no longer have access to edit my account. If I choose to cancel my account, it seems like everything I've set up over the past ten years, including references, will be deleted. I've tried calling but you hang up each time. My boyfriend and I traveled to New York and needed a babysitter. One of your providers contacted me but avoided giving me information when I requested an interview or referrals. Instead, he kept asking about our accommodation. We were unable to find a babysitter through your site for the day we needed. I am disappointed with the service and request a full refund to my boyfriend's bank account. I believe the website should include background checks in the price rather than charging extra. Childcare is already costly without additional fees. I feel your site lacks proper vetting of providers. Please issue a refund to prevent me from escalating this issue further.

I recently received an email regarding a nannying position from a person whose account was deactivated. The individual I was in contact with seems to be using different names or collaborating with multiple individuals who employ similar messages and tactics to solicit personal information, including addresses. I have encountered two instances where these people have used identical messages in an attempt to obtain information. I have retained the names and messages on my phone for evidence. I am aware that the account of John V has been terminated, and another lady mentioned that she deactivated her account voluntarily. It is concerning to witness this behavior and I fear other girls might also be targeted by this scheme. Although I appreciate the account deactivation, I believe it is essential for your company to review these emails to address this issue effectively. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I would like to cancel this service promptly. I have not found it useful. The matches provided did not meet my requirements, and those I reached out to did not respond. The only respondent was interested in a nanny position while I only needed a short babysitting service. Unfortunately, not being able to secure a sitter led to me losing my job as I had to leave work early to care for my child, resulting in termination. Regrettably, I can no longer afford the services provided by Care.com.

I recently upgraded to premium mainly for the background check feature, but I was charged an additional $20 without prior notice. Accessing background information for childcare profiles requires another payment, which was not clearly stated. I feel frustrated by the lack of benefits from the premium upgrade and am requesting a full refund.
Despite sending an email on April 3rd and cancelling my membership, I did not receive a response, and I was charged again on May 3rd. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by the poor customer service and the inability to speak with a representative regarding billing concerns.

I am experiencing issues signing up for care.com. Upon entering my information and clicking sign up, I receive an error message stating "your profile can’t be created at this time, please contact a representative for further help." I have attempted to call customer service, but I repeatedly receive a message saying "we’re sorry, your call did not go through. Please hang up and call again." I am frustrated by this situation. I have tried creating a profile three times on my mobile device and twice on my desktop. I am unsure why I am encountering these challenges and unable to successfully create a profile.
