Hello, my name is Amber. I signed up for care.com a few weeks ago. I wanted to access more job opportunities in my area, so I upgraded to a premium account. Unfortunately, after trying to contact several people, I only received two responses from customers who are not even in my area. I am disappointed with the service and feel like I have not received what I paid for. I am requesting a refund as I haven't found it useful and have had better luck on social media. I am dissatisfied with the strict no refund policy, especially after using the service for only two weeks.

I have been a member of care.com for some time now without any issues until about a week ago. I engaged with someone regarding a babysitting job, and they suggested we communicate via email, which seemed more convenient for them. After a week of discussing the job details, it became evident that it was all a scam. They claimed to be relocating for work to CA and needed someone to care for their child, asking me to purchase items for their new home. Subsequently, they sent a check and pressured me to deposit it, withdraw the funds, and buy the requested items. Thankfully, the bank employee flagged it as fraudulent, so I did not lose any money. However, another individual on the app messaged me with a similar moving story, seeking to send money after obtaining my address. It's important to be aware of these scams to protect unsuspecting individuals from losing their hard-earned money.

To whom it may concern,
I discovered that my account had been suspended following a background check. I believe this action was taken due to my previous DUI charges. I am seeking reinstatement so I can find a caregiver for my children.
After my second DUI on July 24, [redacted], I have been sober and committed to my recovery. I have been a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for several years and will reach 4 years of sobriety on July 25th. Sobriety has transformed my life, and I dedicate my time to helping others in need.
The Sterling group confirmed that my background check was accurate but couldn't assist further. I was advised to contact care.com directly to explain my circumstances.
Please feel free to contact me if you require any additional information.
Best regards,
Matthew S.

Beware of Care.com for parents looking for childcare services. Last year, I used their site to find a nanny for my daughter's kids over the summer. I paid a fee for access to the listings. The issue arose when a renewal fee was charged without notice a year later. Trying to cancel and get a refund was a frustrating experience. Unable to speak with someone directly, I had to navigate the website to close the account but was left confused on how to get my money back. After finding a blog post with a phone number, I waited in a lengthy queue to talk to "Richard." He claimed the account was closed and my information was deleted, denying me a refund. Requesting a supervisor led to more obstacles as they couldn't open a case due to the closed account. The suggestion was to contact my credit card company for resolution. This ordeal highlighted the difficulties of canceling and obtaining refunds. Be cautious of their seemingly caring image in commercials when considering their services.

Yesterday, I was contacted by someone named Pastor Nicholas Smith regarding a babysitting job offering $[redacted] a week for 4 hours of work per day. After expressing interest, he informed me today that the position was filled but offered me a part-time personal assistant role instead. He requested my bank details and said he would pay me $[redacted] weekly in advance via cashier's check or money order as he is mainly out of state. This is clearly a scam, and I need to report it.
He mentioned he was closing his Care.com account and insisted I only communicate with him through his personal email. It's evident that this individual is engaging in fraudulent activities by creating fake accounts to deceive unsuspecting individuals. I intend to report this matter and can provide screenshots of our conversations. Thank you.

I am experiencing some technical difficulties with editing my profile and photo. Whenever I try to make changes, the page seems frozen and does not respond. The same issue is happening when I try to apply for a job; the page freezes, preventing me from proceeding. I am hesitant to input my credit card details online when the website is not functioning correctly. Could someone urgently contact me at [redacted] to discuss these issues? Thank you, Cheryl Aloi-Good.

Hello, I hope you are well. This is my third email to Customer Service regarding this matter. I would like to request a refund of $60 for my recent payment to care.com. With my work requiring me to travel across the United States for extended periods, including my current stay in southern California until 8/10/19, I find it difficult to utilize care.com effectively. Despite my attempts, I have been unable to update my location from Savannah, GA to southern California. Kindly process the refund for my most recent charge of $60 and proceed with canceling my account as I have been unsuccessful in securing any jobs. I appreciate your assistance in this matter. Thank you. Best regards, R. G.

I did not authorize the repetitive billing on my premium account. I only signed up for a one-time charge. I am requesting a refund for the last three charges that were not authorized. I only realized the repetitive billing last week as I had moved a couple of months after agreeing to the one-time charge. Unfortunately, my bank stopped sending statements when I moved, even though I had updated my address online.

Today, I discovered that my Chase debit card information was stolen. I noticed unauthorized charges from Care.com, Google, Amazon, and others. These were not approved by me. I reported this to Chase, and they have issued me a new card. I need guidance on how to receive refunds for these charges as I no longer have access to the compromised card. Please advise if a refund can be mailed to me or deposited into my bank account if provided. Contact me promptly to resolve this issue. Thank you.

I recently applied to post with Care.com but encountered a problem with my SSN during the background check process. When I contacted Sterling Talent Solutions, they couldn't find any history associated with my name and SSN, even though I had changed my name after getting married two years ago. I'm surprised that my information couldn't be located, especially considering I've filed taxes and passed government background checks. I've tried reaching out to Care.com multiple times to resolve this issue, but haven't had any luck speaking to a live person or updating my information. It's frustrating that a company doesn't have better customer service to address these types of situations. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar issues with their background checks on Care.com.

I have experienced ongoing billing issues with Care.com despite requesting not to be automatically charged for subscription renewals. Upon reviewing my credit card statements, I discovered unauthorized charges from Care.com on two separate accounts.
One account, registered under the name Mandy Henderson and billed to Cora Henderson, was for a one-month subscription for finding a cleaner for my new apartment. The other account was for a 3-month subscription as a math tutor. Despite clicking the option to not be continually billed for both accounts, I continued to be charged mistakenly.
I am requesting a full refund for the unauthorized charges on my housekeeping account for the months of April, May, June, and July, as well as for the math tutor account post the initial three-month subscription period.

I recently completed a move-out cleaning job that turned out to be much more extensive than initially discussed. Despite being told it was a general clean, the property was in a very dirty state, with severe mildew in the bathrooms, rust buildup in the toilets, and paint splatters on various surfaces. The clients requested tasks beyond a basic clean, such as grout cleaning, deep cleaning of appliances, and interior of cabinets. This job realistically required 15 to 20 hours, but they expected it to be completed in 8 hours. Despite my effort of working for 9.5 hours, I couldn't finish everything to my standard. They were hesitant to pay the full amount, so I had to settle for less than usual. The client insisted it was a normal clean, but it was undoubtedly more demanding than that, verging on a deep clean. I hope they won't leave a negative review as the person in charge is not the care.com subscriber who found me.

Hello, I hope you're having a good day. I've tried multiple times to understand what's happening without success. I have only shared personal details and my preferences. I haven't used your site for a while and was surprised to see a charge on 5/6/[redacted] for $16.00. Can you explain why? According to you, I am banned for life for reasons unknown. I haven't been on any dates or even spoken about personal matters with anyone. Suddenly, I could access my account again only to have it deactivated shortly after. I feel confused and frustrated by these actions. I believe in transparency and fairness in business, which I feel is lacking here. I deserve an explanation for why I've been permanently removed and what I have supposedly done wrong. Please address this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention.

I recently switched my subscription on care.com to the basic membership last month. However, I have been unexpectedly charged for the premier membership fee again, and now I am unable to access my account. Despite entering the correct login ID and password saved on my iPhone, the website is not letting me log in. It keeps indicating that there is no account associated with my email address. Unfortunately, there is no technical support number provided by care.com for assistance with this issue.

I've been attempting to cancel my premium account on care.com. I also tried to avail the 50% discount on membership for the current month when I couldn't cancel it. After finally managing to cancel, I noticed that the membership for August was renewed even though the payment was delayed by seven days. I request a refund for the previous month's charges and confirmation that my membership has been successfully cancelled.

I had contacted Care.com previously but stumbled upon this platform. I need to express my dissatisfaction with Care.com. Approximately two weeks ago, we reached out to them seeking assistance for my ailing husband. Despite our efforts, we never received a return call. Determined to try again for Leonard Hilbert, my husband, a resident of The Villages, I went through the necessary steps. I interacted with a representative, whose name escapes me, who had scheduled a visit for Wednesday, August 14. However, the individual failed to arrive without notice, yet we were billed $31.20 with an additional $8 charge. I urge for a swift reimbursement into our account. I am reluctant to hear that the resolution process falls on us or that charges are applied prior to service. Consider the inconvenience had we not stayed. I demand a resolution, the return of my funds, and assurance. While I am willing to provide my email, I request a direct call to ensure the matter is resolved. I can be reached at [redacted] and Leonard at [redacted]. Additionally, there should be a practice of confirming appointments the evening before. - Corinne Hilbert

I am reaching out regarding my mother, K.G. from Stockbridge, Georgia. I do not believe she should be in a caregiving role. From the age of 13 until I left the home six years ago, both she and her husband were abusive towards me. One particular incident when I was 17 involved her husband physically attacking me as I tried to leave the house. My mother then joined in, striking me and causing my nose to bleed, while her husband even resorted to stomping on my face. This was just one of many instances of abuse from them. Additionally, my brother, who now frequently visits her, started sexually assaulting me daily when I was 13, continuing until I was 16. I strongly feel she is unfit to care for anyone, especially while still married to her husband.

I am requesting a refund of $30 that was debited from my account without authorization. The account has been inactive for several months, and I did not want to renew any services. The unexpected deduction has put me in a difficult financial situation as I am a disabled single parent living on a tight budget. This has affected my ability to provide my son with essential items like black school shoes. Surprisingly, the charge was made to an expired card. If I do not receive a refund promptly, I will have to involve my bank to rectify the situation. Your cooperation in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am reaching out on behalf of my mother, Kimlisa Gregory from Stockbridge, GA. She is not fit to care for others. Since my childhood until I moved out several years ago, both she and her husband were abusive towards me. On one occasion, when I was a teenager trying to leave the house, her husband physically attacked me while my mother stood by, later joining in on the assault. This was not an isolated incident. Additionally, my brother, who now frequently visits her, subjected me to repeated sexual abuse without consequences. Whenever I threatened to involve authorities, my mother would guilt me into silence. I firmly believe she should not be in a caregiving role, especially considering her ongoing relationship with her husband. I suggest reevaluating her employment with your company.

I am reaching out about my mother, Kimlisa Gregory, from Stockbridge, Georgia. She is not fit to be a caregiver. From when I was young until I moved out five years ago, both she and her husband were abusive towards me. One day, when I was ** years old, I tried to leave the house, and a physical altercation ensued between me, my mom, and her husband. This was just one instance of the abuse I endured. Additionally, my brother sexually abused me regularly during that time. Despite my attempts to seek help, my mom discouraged me with threats. I strongly believe she should not be in a caregiving role, especially considering she is still married to her abusive husband. I suggest removing her from employment at your company.
