What are the hours and when should I call?

Vonage operates the call center for this 732-944-0000 phone number Mon-Fri 9am-12am, Sat 9am-8:30pm ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Friday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 908 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Vonage phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Vonage staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Vonage is Friday. The most busy day to call is Thursday. Again, this is based on a sample of 908 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Wednesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Thursday.

The best time to call Vonage

In summation, the best day to call Vonage is Friday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Vonage staffs the call center well on Friday.

Calling this Vonage Customer Number

Nov 20, 2023

This number is a customer support line for Vonage and provides resources for existing Vonage home and business customers as well as prospective customers. I found that Vonage’s automated menu provided an efficient roadmap for sorting calls and ensuring that callers could get their questions answered with the minimum amount of delay.

Upon dialing, I was connected to an automated greeting that immediately separates existing customers from callers looking to learn more about Vonage services. As a non-customer, I chose option 2. Note that if you call outside of business hours, you will be instructed to call back between 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. In my case, after choosing option 2, I was taken to another menu and asked whether I was interested in learning about Vonage services for home or for business.

After indicating that I was interested in learning more about services for my home address, the call began ringing, and I was quickly connected to a customer service representative. The rep I spoke with was friendly and immediately asked for a callback number in case our call was disconnected. This turned out to be fortuitous, as our call was actually disconnected about 30 seconds later. I’m happy to report that this representative returned my call almost immediately.

The Vonage rep seemed happy to answer my general questions about the service. He let me know that domestic calling plans are available anywhere in the United States and that you can sign up for a 30-day trial period that offers a money-back guarantee if you’re not satisfied with the service. He also informed me that using Vonage’s home phone services requires an existing high-speed internet connection. When I specified the rather uncommon provider I use for my home internet services, he assured me that Vonage was compatible.

I also explored the other side of Vonage’s customer service system. After indicating on the initial menu that I was a current Vonage customer, I was prompted to enter my Vonage account number. This menu also provides clear instructions on how to move forward if you don’t have your Vonage number handy.

Once into the customer side of the system, an automated message informed me that the current call volume was heavy and provided me with the option of leaving a callback number. I did so and received a return call from a Vonage representative within five minutes.

Overall, I found Vonage’s customer service menu quite easy to understand and navigate. It includes an automated message that informs callers that they can also get information from the Vonage website if they’re unable to be connected to a representative. Based on my call, I would absolutely feel comfortable calling this line if I had any questions about Vonage’s services, and would be confident that their customer service team would do their best to assist with my issue.
