How Do I Elect Ebills in My Truist Bank Account?

Jul 13, 2023

As online banking becomes the norm, you may want to set up eBills in your Truist account, but don't know where to start. How do you elect eBills in your Truist account? You can get more information on products and services offered through the bank by calling Truist customer service. Below are steps you can take to set up eBills in your account.

Establishing eBills in Truist Accounts

You can set up eBills for outside vendors through your Truist account, or you can set up eBills for loans or credit cards you have through Truist. To set up eBills or automatic payments to outside vendors through your Truist account, do the following:

  1. Log into your Truist account online.
  2. Click on "Bill Pay."
  3. Select "Payee" to add new payees to your account. Note: Payees can only be added using a computer, not the mobile app; however, once a payee is established, it can be monitored using the mobile app.
  4. Determine if the payee is a business or a person. For example, a business could be your utilities company or credit card company, and a person could be a friend or family member, or babysitter or sole proprietor.
  5. Enter the name of the payee.
  6. Add payee's ZIP code.
  7. Select the category for the payee such as "Utilities" or "Education" or "Gifts."
  8. Choose the Truist account from which payments will process.
  9. Add the account number found on the statement from the payee.
  10. Re-enter the account number to confirm, and click "Next."
  11. Enter the recipients contact information and address.
  12. Click the "eBills" tab and select "Set Up eBills." eBills can only be set up for companies, not individuals.
  13. Find the vendor you wish to receive eBills from through Truist and click that vendor.
  14. Enter your login information for the payee and click "Next."
  15. Read the information that appears on the screen regarding how you can track eBills and click "Done."

Adding vendors and setting up eBills helps you keep track of your monthly payments without stress. Once eBills are established, you can monitor payments online or through the mobile app. For more information or assistance with eBills, contact Truist customer support.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Truist Bank Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
