Notes About Spotify's Family Plan

If you are a Spotify customer, you can add up to six family members living under your roof to your premium account. Family members can listen to music together or separately. Parents can add an account for their children and set parental controls to block inappropriate content.

Adding Someone to Your Spotify Family Plan

You can add members to your Spotify family plan yourself, or you can send them an invitation to join that will allow them to set up their access.

Adding Someone Yourself

To add someone to your Spotify family plan, follow the steps outlined here:

  1. Open the Spotify website in your computer's browser.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Scroll down to and select "Manage your family accounts."
  4. Select "Add" to add a new member.
  5. Enter the new member's information to complete the setup.

If you need to remove a person from your Spotify family plan, you can do so by following Steps 1-3 above. At step four, select "Remove" instead of "Add" to remove access.

When You Invite Someone to Join

If you want to invite someone to join Spotify through your family plan, complete these steps:

  1. Open the Spotify website in your computer's browser.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Click on "Invite" and enter the email address of the person you want to add to your family plan.
  4. The individual will receive an email with the invitation and link to join.
  5. They will click on the link, enter their information and confirm the information.

Note: Spotify members can only switch family plans once a year.
