If you made an error booking a flight with Hawaiian Airlines, you should be able to change the trip itinerary pretty easily. Exactly what you have to do depends on what kind of tickets you bought: refundable or non-refundable.

Change an Itinerary Purchased with Non-Refundable Tickets

Non-refundable tickets are the most common kind. If you did not specifically seek out refundable tickets to purchase, this is most likely what you have.

  1. Go to Hawaiian Airlines' home page.
  2. Click on the Sign In button in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
  3. Sign in to your account.
  4. Click on My Trips.
  5. Enter your last name in the text field on the left.
  6. Enter your ticket number or confirmation code in the text field on the right.
  7. Click on the View My Trip button.
  8. Click on the Change My Flights button.
  9. Follow the instructions on the page to make the changes you need to make.

Changing the itinerary of a trip booked using nonrefundable tickets will incur the following fees:

  • US domestic flights purchased without HawaiianMiles: $200
  • US domestic flights purchased with HawaiianMiles: $50
  • International flights purchased without HawaiianMiles: $50 to $300, depending on the distance involved
  • International flights purchased with HawaiianMiles: $50
  • Flights between neighboring Hawaiian islands: $30
  • Flights booked through travel agencies and other third parties: variable fees

You will also have to pay the difference in total fare if your changes make the trip more expensive.

Change an Itinerary Purchased with Refundable Tickets

Refundable tickets cost more up front, but they also allow you to be a lot more flexible than you can be with non-refundable tickets. If you know you might need to make changes with your itinerary, it might be better to by refundable tickets.

To change your itinerary, just follow the procedure given above for non-refundable tickets. The only difference is that you will skip over the steps where you pay the fees.

If you have any problems making a change to your itinerary, you can contact Hawaiian Airlines' customer service. They have an online help desk and phone support.
