How Do I Request Wheelchair Access for My Hawaiian Airlines Flight?

Hawaiian airlines, like most airlines make provisions for all travellers, and this includes travellers who may be mobility impaired. However, any traveller who needs special accommodation's will need to alert Hawaiian airlines of their special travel requests. This can be done in a few different ways. However, Hawaiian airlines does everything in their power to accommodate all travelers and their varying needs. Hawaiian Airlines complies with the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) 14 CFR Part 382. They do not discriminate based on disability.

Call Hawaiian Airlines

Of course, travellers can always call Hawaiian airlines directly to request wheelchair accommodation's for their travel. An airline representative will make these notations to your ticket when you book a reservation or will add these requested accommodation's to an existing ticket. This si probably the easiest way to request wheelchair accommodation if you don't want to make the requests on your own. Keep in mind that all requests for special accommodations must be made 48 hours before your flight departure.

Make A Request Online

You may also be able to visit the Hawaiian airlines website and gravitate to their request page. You will need to enter your identifying information regarding your air travel with Hawaiian airlines. After you've filled out all of the applicable information, there is an area where you can detail your request. If you choose to request wheelchair accommodation online, its best to do this well in advance in order to have enough time foe your requests to be received and acknowledged. You need confirmation of your wheelchair requests for accommodation before you arrive at the airport. However, if you're not speaking with a Hawaiian airlines representative, its best to start this process early to ensure that your request has been received acknowledged and confirmed for your air travel.

Include Pertinent Hawaiian Airlines Information

You will need to include some, or all of the following information. When you make your online request for wheelchair accommodations be sure to include your first and last name, your Hawaiian Miles #. confirmation code, ticket and flight number, as well as your departure date. You also have the option of attaching any supporting documents if needed.
