DoorDash is one of the premier door to door food delivery services in the world today. You can use the DoorDash website or mobile app to order food from any of your favorite restaurants.

Unfortunately, your order may be delivered late which when it comes to food delivery, is very late. It is the job of the dasher or food courier to ensure that your food arrives in time.

However, unforeseen circumstances such as extremely bad traffic or poor weather can lead to a delivery being late. Such a delay will lead to the safety and quality of the food being diminished.

There are several things you can do if your DoorDash delivery is late.

Track the Order

The first thing you should do is try and track the order. You can track the order using the DoorDash app on your mobile phone or tablet.

When you place your order, preparation begins and soon the dasher will pick it up. Once the dasher picks up the order, the app should show a dasher arriving label with the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) clearly displayed on the delivery map.

The ETA should be changing and constantly reducing as the dasher gets closer to your location. If that is not happening, it means that there is a problem with your order and you should contact DoorDash customer support as soon as possible.

  6. You will be required to submit personal details like your name, email, phone number and problem. Input the necessary details.
  7. Click ‘Start Chatting' and a customer support agent will be on the line in a short while. Have your order details ready before you start the chat.

Email

You can also contact DoorDash customer support and notify them about a late delivery by sending them an email. An email is effective and will certainly be received by the customer support staff.

The downside to sending an email is that it will probably not get a quick response. However, you can send an email and ask for a refund if you decide that the order was too late.
