How Do I Set Up Auto Payment on a Bill with Jp Morgan Chase?

If you have a Chase bank account, you can sign up to have the bank automatically pay your bills for you when they come due. Chase will do so electronically or, when necessary, by paper check. To set up automatic bill payments, you need to be signed up for Chase Online.

If you have an account at Chase, the commercial banking arm of JP Morgan Chase, you can easily sign up for automatic bill pay. When you do, the bank will just take the money out of your account and electronically transfer it to your payees when your bills come due. How to Get Automatic Payments Set Up

To get automatic payments from your Chase account set up, follow this procedure:

  1. Log into your Chase Online account.
  2. Click on Pay & Transfers.
  3. Click on Payment Activity.
  4. Click on Automatic Payments in the side menu, under the Bill Pay header.
  5. Click on Set up an Automatic Payment.
  6. Select your payee from the list of payees linked to your Chase account. If your payee isn't on the list, select the Add a Payee option and provide the required information.
  7. Enter the payment amount.
  8. Select a frequency for the payments.
  9. Select a start date for the payments.
  10. Review the information.
  11. Submit the form.

Electronic transfers will take from 1 to 2 days to reach your payee. Paper checks will take up to 5 business days. Please plan accordingly when choosing a start date.

To use automatic bill pay, you need to be signed up for Chase Online. If you have not done so already, just go to the Chase home page and click on the Not Enrolled? Sign up Now button and provide the required information. The process is fast and easy.
