Go to Chase Bank's Sign-in Page

Click Forgot Username or Password

Confirm Your Identity

Chase Bank is quite strict when it comes to verification. You will need to confirm your identity to safeguard your account and protect your assets.

Enter your Social Security number or TIN, along with your application number or account number, then click Next. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your username or password with Chase Bank.

If you don't have your Social Security number, proceed to the next step.

Click "Don't Have a Social Security Number

This option is located directly below the account, card, or application number.

Enter your Date of Birth

If you don't have the Social Security number on hand, enter your date of birth. You will still need to enter an account number, card, or application number to proceed to the next step. Click Next and follow the on-screen prompts to find your username or reset your password.

Do you own a commercial account or are you an authorized user of a business account? Follow the next step.

Click "Are You an Authorized User..."

Enter Your Email Address and Security Code

You need to provide Chase with your email address and security code to confirm that you are indeed the authorized user. The security code is the code you created when signing up with Chase Bank.

If you don't have the security code, it's recommended you speak to your admin for a temporary password. Do you have them? Type them in and click Next. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to reset your Chase Bank password or find your username.

Wait for the Password Reset Email

Chase may send a reset password email to help you recover your account. Check your email and follow the password reset instructions. Note that the email expires, so it's best to reset your Chase password immediately.

If you got a password reset email and don't remember requesting it, we recommend reporting that to Chase. Contact them immediately or look for an option in the email that indicates you did not request a password reset.

The process is the same with the app. Simply click on Forgot username and password and follow the on-screen prompts to find your username and reset your password successfully.

Conclusion

When creating a new password, it's highly recommended to make it long and use a mix of characters. For a stronger password, use a combination of numbers, symbols, and both uppercase and lowercase letters. Try to avoid number patterns (3,4,5,6 or 5,4,3,2) and never use personal information, such as birth dates or pet names. Create a unique password and avoid using the same password for another banking account. If possible, use unrelated words and consider enabling multi-factor authentication to add a layer of protection to your account. Still having problems resetting your Chase username and password? Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Chase Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
