Log in to your Spectrum or Charter Communications account here.
To reset your Spectrum username or password, you'll have four options. You can use your username and zip code, or your phone number and email address. Simply enter the required info and tap Next. You might also need to verify you're not a robot before proceeding. From there, just follow the on-screen instructions to successfully reset your password.
You can also reset your account using your account number and security code – a unique set of numbers linked to your account. You'll find this code in the email associated with your Spectrum account. If you don't have the code, you can still reset your password using your username, email, and phone number.
Whichever option you choose to reset your password, you'll need to verify your identity with a code sent via text, phone call, or email. Make sure you have your phone handy or access to your email – otherwise, you won't be able to recover your account.
If you've forgotten your device PIN, follow the next step.
If you've forgotten your mobile device PIN, just select your device brand for step-by-step instructions. It's also crucial to have a data backup to restore your data after resetting the PIN. For example, if you need to erase your device via iTunes, a backup will let you restore your data afterward. Without one, you'll be able to set a new PIN or passcode, but you won't be able to restore your data.
Spectrum also has a chat feature on the website. Feel free to use this one should you have further questions about your account. You will be provided with resources to help resolve your issue.
Don't forget to also download the Spectrum app, as you can also recover your account using your phone. Same instructions, just tap on Forgot username and password and follow the on-screen instructions on how to successfully recover your Spectrum account.
Have you already recovered your account? If you're still in the process of resetting your password, make sure to choose one that's strong and secure. Aim for 12-16 characters, including uppercase letters, symbols, and numbers. Avoid using personal info like your address or birthday. Consider using a password manager and don't reuse passwords. GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
