Yesterday I ordered off of uber eats from a restaurant that was '* minutes' from my house in Welling, Kent. Once my driver picked up my order from the restaurant he started to drive in the complete opposite direction. Thinking he had just made a wrong turn, I used the text option to say he was going the wrong way. Moments later he is still heading further and further away from my house and was going into Sidcup making the time of arrival go up to ** minutes. **The driver finally responded to my messages explaining he had to go home and collect his phone charger as his phone was going to die and that he was on his way to me with my food.**Finally my food arrived, ** minutes later than what it originally should of been and was cold. **I spoke to someone last night on uber eats via the app explaining what had happened and asked kindly for a refund as my food was cold because of your driver having to go home during delivering my food, which was in the complete opposite direction to my house. **I really don't think it is fair I have to pay for cold food which I didn't eat when it is your drivers fault. How is it acceptable for your driver to be going home whilst in the middle of a job? Why has he accepted a job if he needed to go home and get his phone charger? Why am I the one still paying for the food when it is his fault it was cold?**I have screenshots on my phone of the messages between me and the driver and the map off him driving away from my house. **I hope you can understand my frustration as I am still being charged for cold food when its realistically the drivers fault. I really don't think it is fair.**Can someone please respond.**Thanks*Lizzie
