I was taking an Uber ride. ... ped for gas before picking me up and I was upset. First, he didn't deny it. Then he said he was across the street from the gas station. Finally, he said he wasn't near the gas station, he was waiting outside Starbucks. I told him that his stopping for gas made me late and that, although I had never rated anyone low, I was going to rate him a *. He was angry. **I did give him a * rating* I probably wouldn't have done it if he had been honest and apologized.**When I got home I saw a note from Uber that I was charged $** for a "mess" in the car. !! I'm stunned but, thinking back, he had said he is very knowledgeable about Uber... obviously, he is and he knows how to work the system. Projecting ahead, I'll bet he set something up and and recorded pictures. I wonder how riders prove the absence of a crime? **I'm trying not to be reactive to this. Being reimbursed really isn't enough in this situation* I think this is something that people should know about.. riders being exploited. Interestingly, a man of this character has a *.* rating. I wonder if he has learned how to manipulate the rating system, as well. In any case, this is more than unsettling. I look forward to your response.
The rider has no recourse* no way to prove nothing happens in a car.
I should be reimbursed... I don't know what Uber can do about the character of a driver.
I have been an Uber customer for several years and only given the highest ** ratings before today.
I'm responding to the receipt.
