This morning, I ordered an Uber for my younger brother, a high school student needing a ride to school. He was denied the ride due to an age restriction, and despite being charged for the trip, I never received a refund. I was unaware of this rule as it was not previously communicated to me. If there were changes to the terms of use, I should have been informed. To add to my frustration, my Uber account has been deactivated. I am seeking clarification for these events and requesting a refund for the unused ride.

I have noticed 3 unauthorized charges on my PayPal account made for rides by Uber on October 25th. The charges were $16.62, $19.82, and a $5 cancellation fee, all occurring between 5:45 and 6:20 on the same day. I did not take these rides nor authorize anyone to do so. I have already informed PayPal of these unauthorized transactions and am requesting an investigation to identify the individuals responsible and to have the funds refunded to my account. Please remove these charges from my account and return the money. Thank you. Regards, S. Ferrigan.

While trying to turn left into my parking spot, I encountered one of your drivers blocking access to both lanes. After politely asking her to move so others could pass, she erupted, yelling and cursing at me and my child. She even threatened to ram my car if I didn't move. I tried to de-escalate the situation by reversing, but her obstruction caused traffic and forced me to seek help from other drivers to get to safety. Upon reaching my house, she followed me and waited outside my gate. I have photographic evidence of the incident. This driver's aggressive and unsafe behavior left me feeling threatened, especially her pursuit to my home. I trust Uber holds its drivers to higher standards and I urge you to address this matter promptly.

I need assistance with two trips that were cancelled but I got charged as the drivers never showed up: 1. October 13, [redacted], at 5pm, I was charged even though the driver never arrived. 2. Today, October 26, [redacted], the driver named Toto Ahdelhamid never came. The app showed 1 min away, but I waited for an hour. Despite my texts, he didn't respond. I canceled, but still got charged for the trip. I hope for a refund for both cases as it's frustrating. I requested the rides at 5pm from Tesla Fremont factory to get home early, but got back after 8pm. Kindly investigate and refund me for the trips that were not completed.

I recently used Uber for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. I booked a ride from Medipally to AV College Dhomalguda and was initially quoted Rs. [redacted]. However, upon reaching the destination, I was charged Rs. [redacted], causing a significant discrepancy. I had a difficult interaction with the driver regarding this issue, and I am quite frustrated by the overall experience. Losing Rs. [redacted] in this manner is disappointing, and I feel let down by your service. Please address this situation promptly and refund the excess charges.

During my first ride using a promo code for a free trip, I encountered a concerning situation with the driver's reckless driving behavior. He was distracted by his phone, hitting curbs, and became aggressive when I expressed my discomfort. To ensure my safety, I asked him to stop, and I had to exit the vehicle in an unsafe area and request another ride. Unfortunately, I did not receive the credit for the initial trip. Moreover, I recently took a ride that should have cost approximately $6 but was charged $26 on my way back home. I believe I was overcharged for this trip. I am unsure how to address these issues, so I hope to receive assistance from customer service. If possible, please contact me at [redacted] to help resolve these matters promptly.

I recently received a notification on my phone showing a $5 charge for a cancelled Uber ride made through my PayPal account on October 25. I did not request this ride and did not receive any notifications about it. My Uber history reflects a ride booked to and from locations in Chico, CA, despite me not being there that day. This leads me to believe there may be a system error or that my account was compromised. I have already updated my password as a precaution. I am requesting a refund to my PayPal account instead of account credit due to the fraudulent charge.

I booked an Uber for 7:35 a.m. but the ride only arrived at 8:02 a.m. I was supposed to be at jury duty by 8:15 a.m., but due to the delay, the jurors office informed me I wouldn't make it on time to check in. I now have to reschedule my jury duty for next week, disrupting my plans because of the tardiness of the ride. Initially, one driver was assigned, but later on, a different driver picked me up and kindly drove me back home as I couldn't reach my 8:15 a.m. appointment. I am disappointed with the handling of this situation as I had booked the ride in advance. I kindly request a refund for this trip and the promised $10 credit for the inconvenience caused. Thank you, C.K.

During a recent visit to Chicago from 10/25-10/28, my daughter and I used Uber, and encountered a problematic driver named Sandra with license plate number R809913 and phone number [redacted]. Unfortunately, my daughter left her cell phone in Sandra's car. Despite tracking the phone using my cell phone, the driver was uncooperative and even demanded money for its return, resorting to holding it for ransom. We had to involve the Chicago police to retrieve the phone, and after they intervened, Sandra reluctantly brought the phone to the police station. The whole ordeal was frustrating and unprofessional. I hope Uber addresses this behavior to prevent it from happening to others. This was my first and hopefully last negative experience with Uber. Drivers should be aware of company policies regarding returning lost items to their rightful owners without any hassle. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. - Cheryl

I took an Uber from South Station in Boston last night. The first driver who accepted my ride arrived but left after a brief call when he saw me. I called back but got voicemail. I'm unsure if it was due to my luggage or appearance. Not seeing the trip under "My Trips" suggests it was canceled. I'm upset and feel action should be taken. On a positive note, the driver who eventually picked me up was excellent! Regards, Ebette Fortune

Hello team, I am experiencing difficulties with my UBER account login. I previously faced this issue due to changing my phone number and credit card details after they were stolen. It was a cumbersome process involving several days of email exchanges and screenshots to get assistance updating my account due to my inability to do so myself. I am understandably frustrated at this point. The card ending in [redacted] is no longer active, and my former numbers [redacted] and [redacted]49 are also inactive. I urgently need access to my account. I now have a new US phone number and credit card as I no longer reside in Mexico. Please provide assistance as I am unable to log in to my account. Thank you, Cheers

I encountered an issue with my Uber ride today at 11:00 am. The driver who showed up was not the one designated to me, and there were discrepancies in the vehicle details provided. The driver was not driving a grey Ford Escape as expected but a Nissan Rogue, and the license plate did not match either. Moreover, there was no Uber sign in the car. Due to these inconsistencies, I expressed my discomfort about riding with her. However, the situation escalated when she responded rudely, causing me to feel targeted due to my ethnicity. She left without clarification, leaving me uncertain. Luckily, a driver named Mitchel came to my rescue, providing a pleasant ride. This experience has left me hesitant about using Uber services in the future.

I requested an Uber ride on 10/22/18 from the South Miami Metrorail station. My driver, Ricardo, called me in Spanish, but we couldn't communicate as I speak English. Despite trying to explain my location, he insisted on speaking in Spanish. Frustrated, I canceled and rebooked. The new driver promptly took me to my destination. However, I was charged a $6.00 cancellation fee for the first unsuccessful ride. I reached out to Uber to request a refund of the $6.00 charge due to the communication issue.

While driving for a carpool, the app directed me to pick up a client at Broad and Olney on the northwest corner, which is a prohibited spot. Upon arriving, the client entered the car, and to my surprise, I was given a ticket by the police parked on the pavement. The passenger even mentioned that the ticket was for me. Only then did I notice the "no stopping anytime" sign above. This was my first time picking up someone there, and I had no prior knowledge of it being illegal. It's unjust for the app to guide drivers to unlawful pickup points. I believe Uber is responsible for covering the ticket as I picked up their client in good faith. As drivers, we rely on Uber's GPS and lack control over the app.

Last night, my spouse and I took an Uber from Newark Airport. Upon entering the vehicle, we discovered that the driver did not speak English, only indicating he didn't understand. We opted for the pool service, and while the extended route to pick up another passenger was acceptable, the navigation through unsafe neighborhoods was unsettling. Despite my experiences in troubling areas from growing up in Cleveland, this was particularly alarming. The inability to communicate with the driver made the situation even more unnerving. It would be beneficial for drivers to have a basic understanding of English for future rides.

I scheduled an Uber pickup 2 days ago. Just 5 minutes before, the driver asked for a delay. I politely declined, stating I couldn't wait. He then insisted I cancel, which I couldn't do, leading to him getting verbally abusive through text. He continued texting after I asked him to stop. The ride was never provided, yet I was charged for it. I am upset at the unprofessionalism of the situation and have saved screenshots of the text exchange with the driver for my records.

Since relocating to DC this summer, my experiences with Uber have been disappointing compared to NY. The drivers here are rude, unreliable, and unjustly cancel rides. I have been unfairly charged $28 in fees following my move, which I demand be refunded to my account ending in [redacted]. Despite the Uber app claiming to credit me for these charges, my bank statement tells a different story. Today, a driver left abruptly after I informed them I was almost ready, even after confirming my message. This happened again an hour ago. Following a driver cancellation, the replacement was far too delayed, leading to a $3 charge upon my cancellation. Frustrated, I switched to Lyft, where I encountered better service. Uber needs significant improvement, perhaps by introducing a customer service hotline. Kindly inform me of the refund timeline. I will not accept a credit, as I do not plan to use Uber in DC again.

On October 30, [redacted], around 4:45 am, I contacted Uber and got Somasiri as my driver. I requested an XL ride as I had a foldable bike the size of a collapsed suitcase with a flat tire. Despite fitting it into his minivan without assistance, he initially refused to take me, then mentioned charging extra. I was taken aback since he didn't help me load the bike, which fit easily, unlike two suitcases that would take up more space. During the ride, his driving was erratic, and he seemed disoriented despite GPS directions. I was surprised by his request for extra payment, claiming Uber paid him only $3 more for XL trips. Living in New Orleans for nearly six years, I've never encountered issues with my folding bike or faced additional charges before. I felt unsettled by the experience and wanted to share my feedback. Thank you.
