What are the hours and when should I call?
Sprint operates the call center for this 888-211-4727 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Monday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 1,817 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Sprint call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Sprint phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Sprint staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call Sprint is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Wednesday, which averages 75% more phone calls by comparison.Again, this is based on a sample of 1,817 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold
We measured the shortest hold times to be on Monday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Sunday, which is 4623% longer than the minimum. As you can see, there is more fluctuation in hold time over the course of the week than there is in call volume.
In summation, the best day to call Sprint is Monday. It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Sprint staffs up on Monday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.
This customer service number is set up for individuals with phone service through Sprint. When I dialed the number, I was immediately greeted by an automated message informing me that Sprint is now a part of T-Mobile. One result of this merger is that this customer service line now exists only to provide assistance to legacy Sprint customers.
Following the automated greeting, I was prompted to enter my 10-digit phone number. At this stage, if you enter a phone number not serviced by Sprint, you are informed that you should hang up and try dialing your own phone provider. The system then automatically disconnects the call. While it is impressive that the automated system is able to immediately identify whether a particular phone number is serviced by Sprint, the automatic disconnection without additional options was less impressive.
I wanted to determine whether there was any way to speak to a representative, add new phone service, or switch an existing phone number to Sprint through this customer service line. I re-dialed the number and bypassed the initial prompt by not entering a phone number.
After a short wait, the automated system provided me with a menu of options, including the ability to check my account balance, make a payment, or make changes to my phone plan. However, upon choosing any of these options, I was again prompted to enter my 10-digit phone number (or my Sprint account number). If you do not enter a valid Sprint number at this point, the system will automatically disconnect the call.
If you are not a current Sprint customer, there is no way to use this customer service line to get information about Sprint’s service offerings. This makes some sense, as Sprint is now part of a larger company. However, the line’s automated message could provide this information in a clearer fashion.
If you are a current Sprint customer, you are still able to be connected to a customer service representative through this phone number. I was able to speak with a representative after entering a valid Sprint account number. The representative was friendly, but he also informed me that due to Sprint’s merger with T-Mobile, his ability to provide customer service was limited. He would be able to take a payment or answer a service-related question for an existing Sprint customer. However, he would not be able to assist with any changes or additions to a phone plan; most customer service options are in the process of being migrated to T-Mobile.
This customer service line would be more useful if it provided up-to-date information as part of its automated greeting. Simply letting customers know that anyone with questions or a desire to change cell phone service should contact T-Mobile instead would be beneficial. Nevertheless, for legacy Sprint customers, this line still offers the ability to get assistance with your current phone plan, at least for a little while longer.

Information about why customers call Sprint is extracted from issues that customers have reported to GetHuman.
If phone-based customer service is not available, or the wait times are long, many people prefer chat as a next-best option. Some even prefer it to calling on the phone. Luckily, Sprint provides this option.
Sprint, like many companies, provides customer service on the X platform (formerly Twitter). While it rarely entails live dialogue with a customer service rep, this channel can yield rapid response times and can be a useful option if you have an X/Twitter account.
As a last, sometimes only, resort- Sprint customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.
