I was scheduled to fly to Fort Lauderdale on Spirit this morning at *:** AM ********** Confirmation number: E*F**V , then fly Spirit to Lima, Peru at **:** ********** confirmation number: JJJ*XK. Then fly Sky from Lima Peru to Santiago Chile **:** **********. **However, when I arrived I was denied boarding because supposedly flights were not going out of Lima to Chile. I told the Spirit staff member my flights were purchased separately so I should have been able to at least fly to Fort Lauderdale and figure it out there or in Lima. After calls were made, the next thing they had told me was that I needed a face shield as well to fly to Fort Lauderdale. I had my mask as well as my negative Covid result and my health passport with me. I told the Spirit staff member I would figure out the face shield situation in Fort Lauderdale to go to Peru. However they did not cooperate with the proposition. I questioned whether they actually cared for technicalities as they LITERALLY let a gentleman next to me board without having his Covid-** results! I had arrived to the airport and was there to check in my bags at approximately *:** am and after calls were made and multiple staff members tried to find a solution to this problem they came to the conclusion that I was not to board without a face shield about *:** am which was not enough time for me to acquire a face shield in time before boarding closed. **Due to the urgency in my travel this was an extreme inconvenience. One of the Spirit staff members , however, was kind enough to reschedule my flight for tomorrow at no extra charge. That does not change the fact that I should have been to Santiago, Chile early in the morning ********** and now have to purchase another Sky flight approximately $*** for rescheduling my Lima to Santiago flight. **What I ask from Spirit is reimbursement for my fees that I will be paying to reschedule my flight from Lima to Chile. *I know Spirit may not be responsible for non-Spirit flights purchased, and that the boarding process may have found a solution quicker had I came in with a face shield along with my medical mask I had on already, *But if Spirit Airlines can let in a passenger without knowing their COVID-** status and not a passenger who was tested negative the day before with a medical mask on, perhaps they could also be kind enough to reimburse me for my rescheduling fee from Lima to Santiago SKY flight **** Confirmation: DIHHCP. **Thank you.
