Recently, my doctor contacted me through Skype, but I couldn't answer the call due to a "Customer Not Available" error, resulting in a canceled appointment fee. I am unfamiliar with using Skype and encountered difficulties in resolving the issue. Upon seeking technical support, I was informed of a $1 assistance fee which turned out to be misleading as the actual cost is $49 monthly, a cost I cannot afford. I simply require a standard phone number for guidance on utilizing Skype to prevent further financial losses. I admit to limited technical proficiency, necessitating a detailed, step-by-step tutorial for me to effectively manage Skype calls. The automated support provided negligible assistance, frustrating my attempts to address the problem, leading to considerable dissatisfaction with their customer service.

Hello, I am seeking assistance from Skype Support for two reasons. Firstly, I recently attempted to export my Skype conversations and files for archival purposes. While most of the archived chats go back to [redacted], the specific conversation I need only dates back to 2/20/[redacted] instead of April [redacted]. Is there a way to retrieve the missing 10 months of conversation? Secondly, I would like to know if it's possible to recover archives from group chats I initiated but were deleted or removed without my consent by the other participants. I was unaware that Skype does not restrict these actions only to the creator, and I would appreciate access to any existing archived conversations if possible. Thank you.

Around a year ago, I needed Skype Out and ended up subscribing to a monthly plan as I struggled to add credits back then. However, I seldom use Skype Out since then but have been billed monthly. Recently, I attempted to cancel the plan. Unfortunately, when I tried signing in to Skype using the email receiving the charge notifications, the site wouldn't accept it. After trying different things, I managed to log in with other email addresses. When I attempted to cancel the charge, a window stated that I hadn't made any purchases. Still, I continue to be charged for the monthly plan. This situation is very frustrating. (P.S.: I reside in Japan, and my dealings are with Skype Japan).

Lately, I have noticed that Skype is performing sluggishly. There have been issues with calls not connecting even after multiple attempts to click the call button. In light of the current pandemic, many of my students have opted to use Skype rather than Zoom or Google Meet due to my recommendations. However, there have been instances where calls come through on my phone but not on my laptop, despite having a clear internet connection. Furthermore, even after initiating a call, the ringing tone persists, and occasionally calls get disconnected. Conversely, Zoom and Google Meet run smoothly without any interruptions. Approximately 50 people who use Skype have similarly voiced their complaints. I am contemplating whether to continue with Skype or switch to another platform as these concerns seem significant. I would appreciate a prompt response.

Dear community, Recently, during a conversation with my family member on Skype, she mentioned that she could not see my video - just a plain black screen where my image should be. Strangely, I could see her just fine. Even after I signed out of Skype, the issue persisted, and I could still see and hear my family member on the call. This ongoing problem has been occurring for a while now, and I suspect that my account may have been hacked, especially since I overheard her voice in a previous incident a few months back. My family member, who is older and in need of emotional support, faces difficulties in our communication due to these technical challenges like changing screens, zooming issues, and disrupted sound and voice. We would greatly appreciate it if the individual behind this spying or hacking activity could be identified and possibly face consequences related to cyberbullying. If necessary, we may consider involving the authorities. Thank you for any guidance or assistance you can provide. Sincerely, Dobrila

I had a partial success with Skype/Microsoft's Live Help Chat after paying $40. I own a headset with a built-in microphone. The microphone and one side of the headphones work correctly. However, despite spending nearly two hours troubleshooting, I couldn't get any audio to function during Skype calls on my HP laptop running Windows 10 with Google. The Skype call connections were made, but there was no sound on either end. Even the audio checks within Skype failed to produce any sound. It seems there might be a communication issue between Windows 10 software and Skype preventing the audio from working properly. I'm in need of assistance to resolve this issue.

I recently signed up for Skype after losing my phone. Initially, I paid $2.99, but then realized I needed a phone number for calls, not chat. I purchased a one-month number for $6.99. Even though it indicated unlimited calls for a month, I bought $5 credit as well. I'm unsure if the transaction went through, so I repeated it for another $5. I believe it should only have been the $6.99 for the number to make calls. I also purchased $[redacted] credit which seems unnecessary since I paid for unlimited calls. I solely require call services, no chat. I request a refund for the excess charges, anything beyond the one-month unlimited service with the number: [redacted]. Please refund the additional amount to my credit card promptly; otherwise, I'll have to involve my bank. I'm interested in paying for a year of the phone number and unlimited calls and may consider international calls later. Kindly confirm the refund to my email: [redacted] Thank you.

I need assistance with my Skype account "johnandchristinevoip," which has credit about to expire. I am unable to log in because I forgot the password and could not reset it. I would like to close this account since I use another account linked to my Outlook email. The email I received states that my credit will become inactive in 7 days if not used. My Skype Name is "johnandchristinevoip," with a balance of GBP18.14. I appreciate your help in this matter.

This morning, I received 3 emails from Skype which are legitimate and not phishing attempts. The first email mentioned a currency change on my account from € to BRL (Brazilian Real). The second one informed me that a $5USD Gift Card was used on the account, and the third email confirmed a monthly subscription of 25.99BRL. Upon checking my account, I didn't find any of these transactions. I suspect that it might be linked to an old account from around 15 years ago with the username coron3x. When I tried to log in, I noticed that the email had been changed to an unfamiliar address. I attempted to recover it but failed due to the age of the account and my inability to recall all the details or contacts associated with it. I don't believe this account is tied to any of my current payment methods, possibly an outdated bank account. Nonetheless, I am concerned about someone using my identity.

I am experiencing difficulties with making and receiving video calls on Skype. When attempting to place a call, the screen indicates that the phone is ringing but it does not connect, displaying a message stating the recipient is unavailable. The same issue occurs on the receiving end with my contacts. I sought assistance from Skype support previously on 9/14/21 and engaged with a technician regarding Case #[redacted]. After a remote session, the problem appeared to be resolved, enabling me to successfully video call once. Unfortunately, the problem has reoccurred, preventing me from making or receiving video calls. I reached out to Skype support again on 9/25/21 and chatted with Marlo, but the session was accidentally disconnected after approximately 6 minutes before she could address the issue. The new case number is #[redacted].

I'm having trouble signing in to my Skype account after installing Windows 10. The Microsoft sign-in process is causing confusion with my Skype account details due to an alias email used during sign-up. It has become problematic. I urgently need access to my Skype phone numbers, [redacted] and [redacted], for business purposes and can provide verification of my identity easily as my accounts are active and current. Unfortunately, the Microsoft verification codes are not being received, and I have been unable to reach any human support. I rely on the [redacted] number to receive important text verification codes for my business accounts, so prompt action is necessary. Thank you for your assistance. - Jerry B.

I have been subscribed to your Canada Unlimited plan since [redacted]. In [redacted], my mobile service was expanded to include Canada and Mexico, so I decided to cancel my subscription with you. However, you continued to bill me. In [redacted], you billed me again despite my attempts to cancel and request a refund. I never received a refund, but I made it clear I was ending my subscription. Now in [redacted], you have billed me once more, even though I have not used your service in over two years. I have repeatedly asked you to cancel my subscription. I am very disappointed with your customer service. I used to recommend your service extensively, but now I am at the opposite end. Please cancel my subscription and refund my money. I eagerly await your response. - M. Browne

I have been a loyal Skype customer for numerous years and have never encountered any issues until recently. Upon reviewing my credit card statement, I noticed two charges from Skype that I do not recognize: 10/05/21 - Skype - Redmond WA - $25.00 10/06/21 - SKYPE.COM/GO/BILL - Luxembourg LUX - $2.99 I did not make a call to the number listed on my Skype Home Page on the date of the second charge, 10/06/21. The credit card used for these charges ends in 81 and starts with [redacted] under the names John and Madelyn Mack. Could you please investigate these charges and refund the total of $27.99 to the card? I would appreciate being kept informed of the outcome of your investigation. Thank you for your assistance. - J and M Mack

I am having trouble signing into my Skype account on my computer and iPad even though I am entering my username and password correctly. Currently, I am traveling and trying to log in from a new location, but Skype is asking for a confirmation code that is being sent to an old email address I no longer have access to. Although I changed my email associated with the account a few months ago, Skype continues to send the code to the old email address. I can still access my profile on my phone, which I used before starting my trip. I need assistance with accessing my Skype account on my computer and iPad, and I am looking for guidance on how to escalate this issue to a human representative at Skype support instead of an automated system. Thank you for your help.

I recently requested that my account not renew, yet I was still charged. I don't have access to this account as I only intended to purchase Microsoft Office. To my surprise, I discovered an unexpected charge for Skype. I haven't used Skype in the past year, and I made sure to request no charges through my Microsoft account when I received a notification. It is frustrating that a charge was added when I bought Microsoft Office, and it was omitted from my cancellation. Despite trying to reset my password, I have been unsuccessful in accessing my account. I am disappointed and upset with this situation. Original Details: Microsoft Account: live:luke.freeman4 Product: Skype Number, 12-month subscription (+1 [redacted]) Amount: $52.26 Date: November 22, [redacted] Order Number: [redacted][redacted]28 Order Status: Delivered Email: [redacted] Preferred Email: [redacted]

I need assistance moving my Skype phone number, which is [redacted], to my new iPhone 13 and linking it to my Microsoft account. I attempted to do this on my own but couldn't figure it out on the phone. I mistakenly purchased $9.99 of Skype credit in the process. If deleting the current number and obtaining a new one on the phone is necessary, that's acceptable; I just require guidance on how to proceed.

Yesterday, my daughter tried to purchase a premium membership with [redacted] Robux coins for £8.39, but it hasn't shown up in her account. I've already emailed Roblox three times with pictures, but haven't heard back yet. Today, she tried to purchase the premium membership again along with 80 additional Robux coins for 79p. She only wants her membership and the Robux coins she paid for. Now, she's looking for a refund of the £8.39 she paid for the second attempt at the premium membership.
