Hello, good afternoon. I need help from your side. Last night, I encountered a troubling incident. A girl recorded a video of me and is blackmailing me for money. I realize I made a mistake, but I am feeling completely overwhelmed and unable to sleep due to fear. She is threatening to upload the video on Facebook and YouTube. Her username was Hanan.Farah1991, and she was from Tunisia. I request your assistance in blocking the video and preventing any further sharing. She has created an unlisted link on YouTube and is threatening a major scandal. Please guide me on protecting myself from this exposure. Additionally, I ask for help in blocking individuals like her from Skype. I anxiously await your response and hope for your assistance in restoring my confidence.

I have been trying to cancel my Skype subscription through multiple emails since October [redacted]. Despite receiving a confirmation in February [redacted] that it was cancelled, I was surprised to find another charge deducted from my PayPal account today. I promptly reached out via email requesting a refund and reiterating my desire to stop any further deductions. I attached the email confirming the cancellation from Skype and requested a phone number to speak with someone to resolve this issue, but have not received a response yet.

Hello! I'm having an issue with my Skype settings while video calling my girlfriend based in Syria. The text on my Skype screen has switched to Arabic, and the left-right direction keys are reversed. I am using Skype for Windows on Windows 10. I tried solutions I found through Google searches, but they didn't work as the screen shots and instructions were different from what I see on my screen. Can someone please assist me in changing the language back to English? Thank you! - Dan

I had trouble logging back into Skype after a call on Saturday. Despite receiving instructions via email and attempting to reset my account, I encountered issues with accessing my account. Following further instructions to log in through Facebook resulted in being directed to a second account that I did not create. After several attempts at resolving the issue through a questionnaire and email support, I was unable to progress. Contacting Skype for text support finally provided me with a link to submit a questionnaire for staff assistance. Unfortunately, the process did not provide me with a reference number, leading to more confusion. Subsequent emails with instructions for a community link and further questionnaires added to the frustration. Multiple failed attempts to reach Skype via phone and email compounded my exasperation. Living in a rural area with limited bandwidth, Skype is my preferred video conferencing option. I hope that this issue can be resolved promptly. Thank you for your assistance. Pamela K.

Hello, I made a mistake while dealing with adware on my computer and ended up having to factory reset it. Now, I need help re-downloading Skype. I mistakenly entered the wrong email address as my alias and now I am locked out of my Skype account. The correct email should be "[redacted]" instead of "[redacted]" I cannot change it right now due to a wait time for altering the alias email once again. I use Skype for both personal and gaming purposes, so getting back into my account is important to me. If you could assist me in fixing the alias email, I would greatly appreciate it. My account username is teanycandy. Thank you for your help.

Hello! I have been a loyal Skype customer for the past 11 years. When I first purchased a Skype phone number and subscription, I was living in Japan and it was the ideal way to stay in touch with friends and family. Now that I have relocated back to the US, I no longer require Skype services. Over the years, I found it challenging to renew my subscriptions due to difficulties in adding funds to my account. Last year, I took the opportunity to add an extra amount to my account to simplify the process for the following year. Now that I no longer need Skype, I would like to request a refund of the surplus amount in my account to my PayPal account. I appreciate your assistance with this matter. Thank you for your help in advance!

I have a few questions to ask about my WhatsApp messages. Recently, I noticed a change in the blue check marks on my chats. Can you explain what it means when there is now a single grey check mark instead of the double blue marks that were there before? I have been communicating with someone consistently until April 17, and they always checked my messages. However, between April 17 and April 29, I noticed the grey check mark instead. When they replied on April 29, they mentioned their WhatsApp was inactive and there was a security code change notification. Interestingly, all my messages from April 17-29 now have double blue check marks. Does this mean they started receiving my messages on April 30? And more importantly, did they read my messages from April 17-29 when the grey check mark was showing? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in clarifying these matters for me. Thank you in advance for your help. - Dora

I would like to address the issue I am experiencing with my Skype account. I have been subscribed to Skype Premium Unlimited since [redacted], with a payment due date of 3 May [redacted]. Unfortunately, the recent payment could not be processed because I forgot to update my credit card details on the Skype website with my new card information. I only realized this after receiving two emails to my business email address. The emails, one at 8:30 pm and another at 8:30 am (Hong Kong time) notified me of payment issues and the eventual cancellation of my subscription. This morning, I tried contacting customer service to extend my current subscription using the updated billing information but encountered difficulties. I do not wish to purchase a new package but simply want to renew my current subscription before it expires in 2 days. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter and reactivating my subscription once the payment has been successfully processed. Thank you for your help.

A few years back, I had Skype installed, and it worked well. Recently, I tried to log in, but my Skype name and password weren't recognized. I couldn't access my original Skype where I had money stored and linked to my credit account. I started a new account and managed to deposit $10, but I'm unable to make calls or contact my niece and nephews in California. The process is confusing me when it asks for my Microsoft account details after entering my Skype information. I'm frustrated and hope for assistance to resolve this issue as I'm not very tech-savvy. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have been struggling to log in to Skype for a while, despite changing my password multiple times and attempting to use different email addresses. Today, I finally discovered through a blog I found on Google that a major update was necessary, although I never received any notification about it. I was surprised to see an automatic renewal charge for my Skype phone number on 03 May without any prior warning, especially since I never use it. I tried for days to sign in and cancel the renewal from 03 May, managing to do it successfully only on 05 May and not again until today, 14 May. I removed my credit card details while the charge was pending, cancelled the subscription, but was informed it would only take effect next year on 03 May [redacted]. To my dismay, I saw that the charge was manually entered on 10 May on my credit card statement, which I am currently disputing. I am frustrated by the lack of support from Skype and considering removing it altogether and sharing my experience on social media. Friends have pointed out that other messaging apps like Facebook are just as functional without the hassle of signing in to Skype.

I am assisting a gentleman in relaunching his consulting business post an accident that left him with limited mobility. He wishes to set up a professional phone number for his clients without the use of a cellphone. The plan is to utilize Skype on his laptop to access calls through voice software. We are in need of a functional phone number to make and receive calls, with voicemail capabilities for missed calls. The goal is to ensure simplicity and efficiency in communication. It appears that Skype's paid version could meet our requirements, but we seek further information before proceeding with registration. Your guidance is valuable. Thank you. - Brandi

In [redacted], I subscribed to [redacted] minutes for a year. Two years later, I no longer needed it and changed my card. Subsequently, they did not charge me again even though I forgot to unsubscribe. Recently, I started receiving emails about failed charges on my new card, leading to a successful charge after a few attempts, which confused me. After searching, I discovered I had four Skype accounts, causing frustration. I couldn't find a customer phone number, and the chat agent wasn't able to help with my refund request. I am in need of assistance with this matter.

I am encountering a problem when trying to instant message a colleague of mine. She is able to message me, but the issue arises when I try to send her a direct message. Oddly, I can successfully message her in a group chat, but it doesn't work one-on-one. This problem emerged in January [redacted] and has persisted since then. From what I know, no one else in the company experiences this problem with my colleague on Skype. Notably, my Mac is the only one in use; the rest of the office operates on PCs. Although I have used Skype for a year without any hitches, suddenly in January, messaging this colleague became problematic. Messages to her appear to get stuck in the "thinking" or "processing" stage without being delivered. Strangely enough, she sits right next to me in the office. I attempted to delete and re-add her as a contact, which didn't resolve the issue. It's becoming a hindrance to our work collaboration and communication. Any suggestions to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a [redacted]-minute subscription to make calls to Jordan from South Africa. After making the payment last Thursday, I received two email notifications confirming that my order has been delivered and is being processed. From what I understand, the activation process should only take a few moments, but it has now been 3 days, and I am still unable to make calls. Although my PC shows that I have [redacted] minutes left, I am prompted to buy a subscription whenever I try to make a call. I am eager to start using the service on my phone and app, but there is no trace of the subscription on my phone. I am wondering if I should expect an email confirming that my order has been fully processed and how long this typically takes. My email and Skype details are as follows: Email: [redacted] Skype: lelo.kunene45 Order Number: [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

I have been a Skype customer for over ten years. I am disabled and use an electric wheelchair due to cerebral palsy. I recently changed my email to [redacted] when I moved to South Carolina. Despite updating my account with a new MasterCard for auto recharge on May 9th yearly, I have been double charged on my old VISA card multiple times. I contacted PayPal to reverse the unauthorized charges. When reaching out to Skype for support, I faced challenges due to my typing disability. Despite the difficulties, I persistently requested assistance and resolution for the unauthorized charges and account restrictions. If not resolved within 48 hours, I will have to seek legal action for the repeated unauthorized charges and lack of appropriate support for customers with disabilities. Dr. Alexander Hanuska, Bluffton, 5/31/[redacted].

After downloading the latest version of Skype on my iPhone 7, I encountered an issue where photos sent via chat could not be opened by the recipient or myself; they just appeared as black with a red exclamation point. Despite granting Skype permission to access the camera and photos, the problem persists even after deleting the app and restarting my phone. I would appreciate urgent assistance in resolving this matter as I rely on Skype for sharing photos and voice messages. I have been unable to find any solutions online or a direct phone number to seek help.

I am frustrated with Microsoft for creating such a hassle just for a sign-in. I have both an Apple and Microsoft account. While trying to sign into Skype with my phone number and password, I was prompted for additional steps, including a verification email to an email domain I don't own. This has been a frustrating experience. I want to report the issue and clarify that the email linked to my account is incorrect. I am opting to use Snapchat, Messenger, or Facetime instead of dealing with this unacceptable situation.

I am having trouble logging into my Skype account. Every time I enter my password, it says it's not recognized and prompts me to create a new one. This new password works only once before the cycle repeats. I have changed my password five times in the past week due to this issue. It is frustrating to spend 15 minutes trying to log in each time I want to use Skype. I am unsure why the system is not saving my passwords properly. I would appreciate guidance or assistance to resolve this problem. Thank you.

My Skype account is blocked because I tried to log in several times. I forgot the password to recover my account, but I always receive an email with the following content: "Your security is important to us. Recently, we received several requests to gain access to [redacted]@outlook.com. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your ownership using the information provided. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers seriously. We are committed to protecting your personal information, and our careful account recovery process aims to shield you from any potential malicious activity." I believe I provided correct information. This Skype account is for my work, and I cannot afford to lose access. I am uncomfortable because the password recovery process is not working for me. What should I do now?

I am experiencing issues with Skype. My subscription allows me to call any phone number in the US or Canada, regardless of them having Skype. I have a friend on Skype whom I can also call on their phone, but when we call each other, we receive a message that the other person is not online, even though we are. I tried deleting and re-adding both contacts, but when I call my friend's phone number on Skype, it still treats it like a Skype-to-Skype call instead of a Skype-to-phone call, resulting in the message that he is not online, even though I dialed his phone number. When I attempted to reach out to Microsoft support at [redacted], I couldn't dial it like a phone number and was directed to a list of contacts, leading to the same "not online" message. I want to be able to directly dial these numbers from Skype without being redirected to a Skype contact. The current Skype menu is confusing, and I prefer the old layout for easier navigation. My Skype ID is dsdimension or ds.dimension.
