To find out what channels you're being charged for on Roku, go to your Roku device and select 'Home' on the home screen. Then scroll down and select 'Streaming Channels' to open the Channel Store. Here, you'll be able to identify your subscribed channels. Crosscheck these with your credit card or Roku account statements for any charges. You can also log into your Roku account via a web browser, go to 'Manage your subscriptions' to see detailed information on your existing subscriptions, including prices. Please note, certain channels might be bundled together in one subscription, like Roku Channel premium subscriptions. Remember, free trials can also turn into paid subscriptions if not cancelled within the trial period.

First, try restarting your Roku device and the remote. To reset your device, navigate to Settings > System > System restart > Restart. To reset the remote, remove the batteries, press every button on your remote twice, and then reinstall the batteries. If the issue persists, your remote might need a new pair to the Roku device. Go to Settings > Remotes & devices > Remote > Set up remote for TV control. If the problem still remains, it might be necessary to replace the batteries, or in some cases, the remote itself. Please note: if you're using a Roku app on your smartphone as a remote, make sure it has the necessary permissions and that your phone and Roku device are connected to the same WIFI network.

To reconnect your Roku remote: 1. Start by removing the batteries from the Roku remote. 2. Unplug and then plug back in your Roku device. Wait for it to fully restart and show the home screen. 3. Now, put the batteries back into the remote. 4. Press and hold the pairing button (located in the battery compartment) for about 3 seconds or until you see the pairing light start to flash. 5. If the pairing was successful, you will see a success message on the screen. It should take about 30 seconds. Remember, infrared remotes (those without pairing buttons) must be pointed directly at the Roku device.

Yes, you can access Acorn TV and BritBox from your phone through their respective apps available on the App Store for iPhones and the Google Play Store for Android phones. However, if you wish to stream these channels on your Roku device, you need to add them from the Roku Channel Store first. Once added, you can log in with your membership credentials to enjoy the content. Please note that both Acorn TV and BritBox require their own separate subscriptions which are not included in the Roku device purchase.

Roku itself does not charge for the activation or use of their device. However, any third-party subscriptions you may have signed up through the Roku platform, like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc., may result in monthly charges. If your bill has increased, it suggests either you've unintentionally signed up for a subscription-based channel, or an existing one has altered their pricing. Check your subscriptions and their costs on your Roku account online to help understand why the bill has increased. Always remember to review the costs associated with any new channels or services you add to your Roku device.
