I placed an order with Postmates on August *nd. I ordered * plates of pasta and went to the order summary page to check out. The summary showed "Total" which I agreed to pay and clicked through. The order went to the restaurant then the driver picked it up and went out for delivery. During delivery the driver got lost and delayed the delivery time which I did not mind because we all get lost sometimes. However, while the driver was getting lost the price on my order changed by about $**.** and this was not including the driver tip that I needed to give. I started a ticket with Postmates support since they make it super difficult to contact them.**I went round and round with * support people who did not answer nor resolve my issue. I went ahead and contacted them through their Twitter support account. The email team closed my ticket marked it as 'resolved' and the Twitter support team are ignoring me. My issue is that I had placed an order with this particular restaurant * times. The prices never changed and the order summary always says 'Total' not 'Estimated Total.' They have tried to justify the price gouge but none of it makes any sense since I have never had an issue with this merchant. **Why didn't the price change on the first order? The second order? On the *rd order I actually had less items and I paid more than the past * orders. If this price change had happened on the first order I would have asked about it and then I would have been informed going forward. But this was unexpected and the only thing that differs on this order is that this driver got lost. I do not know what else could have been different. I asked for a refund but they won't even talk about it let alone issue one. Now I am being ignored. I would just like a refund. Now that I know what could happen moving forward I will no longer be using Postmates.
