I never got my Postmates order from The Juice Standard, submitted at about **:** am today (Saturday, July *). I ordered from the same place a second time afterwards, so I want to be very clear that the earlier order is the one where there was a problem. Everything was great with the second order :-) **For the first order, I checked off that it wasn’t delivered on the help page, but I wanted to be more specific about what happened. The Postmate did text me “I am at the gate” and called me, but if he came to my apartment door and knocked, I didn’t hear him. I can’t say for sure that didn’t happen, as I wasn’t right next to my front door, but I was in a part of the apartment where, as far as I know, I’ve always heard knocks on the door in the past, so I didn’t think not hearing a knock was really a risk. My roommate was also home & did not hear any knocks at the door. Similarly, I can’t say for sure she would have heard a knock, but she has in the past from where she was. **I’m normally by my phone when an order is about to arrive, just in case anything comes up, and I’ll be more careful about that in the future. Not having my phone within sight*earshot was definitely my fault. However, it seems odd to me that the Postmate didn’t just come to my door and knock (assuming he didn’t do that. That part is odd enough that I wonder if he either tried the wrong apartment or did knock and somehow my roommate and I just missed it?). **Anyway, just wanted to explain this a little more than merely checking off the box for “not delivered” since the Postmate did attempt to text and call me & I assume this was just some sort of weird mix-up. I wrote the directions to my apartment, which are fairly straightforward, as instructions attached to my address, but it seems like the Postmate might have received the alternate instructions I use for after hours deliveries somehow, since he texted me he was at the gate & my alternate instructions say I’ll meet at the front gate (but still include my apartment number).**Another (possibly related) issue is that the automatic directions from Postmates direct the delivery person to the other side of my complex (Adiamo Apartments at **** West Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson NV *****—I’m in Apt ***). This is a big complex and the location the Postmates are directed to by the automated system is the equivalent of a couple of city blocks away from my actual apartment. I don’t know any way to fix this—apparently the main address for my complex registers as being on the other side of the complex & it doesn’t matter what apartment * is listed. I do have specific directions written in the note attached to my address—(or, when the complex gates are closed for the night, I leave instructions that I’ll meet the Postmate at the front gate on Horizon Ridge)—but it’s not uncommon for Postmates to follow the incorrect Postmates-provided directions despite my note. **When this happened in the past, either the Postmate figured it out eventually or, more often, I reached them and guided them to my apartment. This is my first time in what I would estimate is over *** Postmates orders that I’ve actually ended up missing a delivery. While today really just seemed like a weird mix up (exacerbated by not having my phone handy), it would be a big help in the future if there’s any way to fix the automated directions for my complex*apartment.**I would have preferred to call or chat with somebody about this, as I didn’t want to just blame the Postmate without explanation, when not seeing his text or missed call was my fault. However, the order was marked as delivered and asking me for a tip by the time I saw it (obviously, I entered $* for the tip). At that point, selecting there was an issue with the order and then checking off “not delivered” was the only option I could find. **Thanks for your time & best wishes!—Gideon K. Cross
