The issue in GetHuman-nanel's own words
I bought an LG Aristo with the phone * ***-***-**** on **-**-****from Metro PCS and it was activated on that day. One week before the May ** due date I called customer service about unlocking my cellphone. I was told to try the unlock device app on the phone. It did not work. I kept getting an error message saying that the server does not recognize my device.It also said that the phone must have been rooted which would cause the problem. I have never rooted the phone. I wouldn't know how to do that. Have anyone else had this problem and what can be done so I can get this phone unlocked? I was told by the customer service rep she would turn in a ticket to technical support for me and I would get an email from them. She also said I could take the phone to a dealer which I did but they had the same error message when they tried. AgaIN they turned in a ticket to tech support. In all I contacted customer service * times. each time they said they were going to turn a ticket in to tech support and verified my emai, the most recent contact was on May **. On May ** they suspended service and today when I tried to call call Metro pc I could not even talk to a rep because the only options were ways to pay the bill and then it hung up on me. It is an FCC law that carriers must unlock cellphones and if Metro PC does not unlock this phone I will report this to the BBB and the FCC. The tech support dept. has still never sent me any emails but the last rep I talked to claimed that they called me on the phone which they knew that the dervice service was suspended. I want this phone unlocked!The last rep had me do a factory reset on the phone and I still get the exact same error message! I'm sure that tech support knows how to solve this so why don't they send an email?
