What types of fare are available?

There are several types of fare available for Los Angeles Metro Public Transportation. The most common type is the TAP card, a reusable smart card that can be loaded with different amounts of money or a variety of passes. It offers convenience and discounted fares for frequent riders. One can also purchase a single-ride ticket for immediate use or a day pass allowing unlimited travel for an entire day. For occasional riders, there is a 7-Day or a 30-Day pass option, providing unlimited rides for consecutive days within the respective timeframes. Additionally, the Metro also offers reduced fares for seniors, students, and persons with disabilities. The fares can be paid using cash, credit/debit cards, or through the TAP mobile app.
