Are there any restrictions on pets on board?

Asked a year ago
Yes, there are restrictions on pets on board the Los Angeles Metro Public Transportation (MTA). Only service animals trained to assist individuals with disabilities are allowed on board. All other pets, including emotional support animals, are not permitted. However, small pets in secure and well-ventilated carriers are allowed on Metro buses and trains during non-peak hours. The carrier must be small enough to be held on the passenger's lap or placed under their seat without blocking the aisle or disturbing other passengers. It is important to note that pets may not occupy a seat. Additionally, owners are responsible for any damages or cleaning fees caused by their pets.
