I was shopping at your store in Mall St Matthews today in Louisville Ky. The store was quite crowded . Lots of people shopping all over the store. A whole side of dressing rooms was closed, maybe * rooms total. My granddaughter and I used the other set of dressing rooms across the store. When we got ready to check out the whole front of the store by the mall entrance check out lines were closed. The shoe dept used to be available for checking out but now that checkout station is gone completely with no one to help you. That leaves two checkouts on the whole first floor. Checkout lines were ridiculous with up to ** customers waiting in line. *The store was a mess with merchandise thrown everywhere. Two people were in the dressing rooms sorting out clothes to be returned to the floor. I think one should have been utilized to make the clothing on the floor easier to find. No one was on the floor to ***ist customers with anything. *When I finally did make it to check out and asked why so few checkouts I was told * people had called in that day. *I have a gold card Penney’s acct and am always being sent coupons. Many of the things I like to buy ( Clark shoes being one) are exempt as are many other products you carry. Why send me coupons I can’t use? *I tried to order shoes online the other day and was going to be charged $*.** to be ****pped to the store. I ended up getting them $** cheaper with free ****pping to my home from Academy Sports.*I have always been a huge fan of yours and have encouraged people to shop there but I must say between my online shoe experience and today’s in store experience I am very very disappointed, *I don’t like shopping in stores that are unbelievably messy and short staffed . You carry some very nice brands. Clark’s, fiesta, Liz Claiborne and Izod are a few of my favorite things to shop for. But today I felt like I was at some discount store that no one took any pride in. I know many stores are closing and hope my store isn’t on that list. But I would like to shop in an atmosphere not quite so yard sale feeling, being able to utilize the coupons I’m being sent and not waiting in line over ** minutes to check out.
