I have been attempting to reach Ikea customer support for the last two weeks unsuccessfully to make the return request. The dresser (Askvoll ***.***.**) I had purchased at the Brooklyn, NY location had faulty pilot holes for the drawer rails. I followed the instructions dutifully, double checking my assembly, and I have additional certainty that I assembled it correctly because I had just beforehand successfully assembled the two-drawer nightstand version of this stand, and the construction is nearly identical.**I live in New York City. It is unsuitable for me to make a visit to the store in question to exchange the unit physically because the cost of transporting the unit there and in such a case the cumulative transportation costs will then exceed the cost of the dresser itself. **I would be most satisfied by a simple replacement of the (*) box for the Askvoll (***.***.**) with a non-defective box, mailed to my apartment. I have the store receipt and can furnish any details regarding the original purchase.
