I wanted to order a transcript. IRS.gov directed me to create an account. Part of the account creation steps is a cellphone verification step. When I entered my number, the page threw an error saying the name on the phone account doesn't match my tax account, although I checked with my cell provider that the name is spelled correctly as of a week ago. Should I be waiting longer? Is there a way to accelerate the reconciliation of the phone company records with the view that the IRS systems have onto those records?
