Groupon advertised a service that literally didn't exist anymore. The person assigned to help me with this just repeats that she can't give me a refund, without further explanation, even though I clearly explained the situation to her via email. There's no disagreement about the facts. Vision by Amel had a Groupon available for an eye exam*glasses at a location in Henderson, Nevada. Their Henderson office isn't there anymore—Vision by Amel confirmed to me on the phone that they "need to update the Groupon" because that office closed. This has been a frustrating waste of time. I don't want "Groupon bucks"—if you advertise something that DOESN'T EXIST you obviously should provide a refund. I feel like I'm in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I explained to the customer service rep who emailed me that this is not a normal situation where I want a refund because I changed my mind or didn't like the service. Groupon sold me something that didn't exist. Whatever the normal policy is, it's absurd not to simply give a refund in this scenario. I wasn't especially bothered by the mistake of being sold a service that didn't exist —mistakes happen and it's not a big deal if people are reasonable about resolving them. I am bothered that I've had to waste time on this and correspond with somebody who isn't competent. Not having any way to simply call somebody on the phone is maddening in this scenario—even I was on hold for an hour*, it would be fine. I'd just put the phone on speaker and do other things while listening. Being sold a service that doesn't exist, having a Groupon rep refuse to give me a refund, causing me to waste time writing two emails wherein I attempted to explain the situation as clearly and in as much detail as possible—(because once somebody gets that I was sold a service that didn't exist, obviously that won't refuse to give me a refund, right?)—and not even having any option to talk to a human being about this has been the most frustrating thing I've experienced in quite a while and the worst customer service experience I've had in years.**Thanks for your time and attention.*Sincerely,*Gideon K Cross**Thanks for your time and attention
