I just had a very negative experience with live chat support. I had received a notification from the Groupon App saying "Just for you! Receive $** off in the app when you buy one deal of $** or more! Today only!" I wanted to make sure that the $** would be applied to my purchase and not credit to be used later. When I asked support they asked for a screenshot of the notification and I sent it. They then said that yes it would be $** off my purchase. I was skeptical and asked again if I needed a code or something to get the $** off because the purchase page still showed $**. They assured me it would work and said to purchase the Groupon deal for the $** off. I did so and was charged $**. When I went back to live chat they said they could not apply promotional codes to transactions after completion and credited me $** to my account to be used in the next *** days. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager restated the same thing. I said I would like either a $** refund or a full refund and to just return the purchased Groupon I had been tricked into purchasing, and at this time the manager terminated live chat. I have both screenshots and a transcript of the conversation. I want a full refund of the $** Groupon for The Carousel purchased February *, ****.
